I just posted about Bush and deep holes he digs. The man should have been a miner, but then that would have been an insult for all the miners there are.

The House will vote next week on overriding the *2nd* veto by President Bush on the Children's Health Insurance....
please consider calling your Congressperson and encouraging her/him to support it.... this involves *raising income levels* for children's
health care, protecting more working class folks...

Now Speaker Pelosi has scheduled a vote to override President Bush's veto on January 23rd -- that's tomorrow! Please call your Congressmember, and ask him or her to help override Bush's SCHIP veto:

While President Bush continues to claim that the economy is strong, our country is sliding further and further into a recession. From the mortgage crisis to $3 a gallon gasoline to 47 million Americans without health insurance, it's not just the poor that are in trouble -- it's the middle class.

SCHIP was created to make sure families could make it through hard times like we're facing now, and guarantee that every child has access to the medical care they need. But if President Bush has his way, the children of recently unemployed parents won't be seeing a doctor -- they'll be seeing the waiting room of their local ER.

My Niki from Lowell will vote for the kids health-care. She sent me a letter stating as much. While telling me there isn't enough time or such for impeachment.
Though the GOP knows nothing about turning the other cheek or going the extra mile, I don't mind showing them a little of those 2. Its sort of in my mind as giving them both plenty of rope to hang themselves.
But now I hear Clinton wants to use Massachusetts health-care plan Nation wide. My first impression of that would be, as long as long as you cut the rent by 2/3's.
Massachusetts Masshealth could be one of the best state run insurances for the poor around any where. But how in the world do I make too much on SDDI to qualify?
Every since I heard Ted Kennedy talk of the need for health-care for all back in around 1979, I've known in my heart it was the right thing. I kept hearing from so-called christians at that time, "We couldn't afford it." Like other's around me at the time would say about the BOMB, we have enough, though we can't take them all apart. (Hey, I just got a flash about how to pay for it.)
A little off topic but as my other Folk Slinging hero besides adg is Jerry Brown-Attorney General of California. And Jerry says these are complicated times.
(Oh do I have a case for Jerry Someday.)

as the folkslinger says... you don't have to do much to have an impact these days...
