Thanks for bringing it back to my mind, Janet. It still gives me goose bumps when I hear him speak.

Thank you, Janet.

I am not black, and I did not take part in the civil rights movement of the 60's, but when he said, "We as a people will get to the promised land." I feel that that he was including me in that people.

The mountain top seems so distant now and hard to believe in. How and when will we ever get a leader like him again?

Thank you again for pointing out this link.

Mark

I sure hope with this really cool communication tool called the high speed internet, that we can get all the ideas out there to finish MLK's and other's dreams, without costing anyone else their lives.
If all my dreams were fulfilled, I'd be dead man walking. (Too much info?)

Tom Paine wanted all countries to cut the military by 90% to insure world peace.
And a quote from Screwed by Thom Hartman of Paine was something like this, "When a country's streets are empty of beggars, its elderly are with out want, its jails are empty, then can a Nation boost of its constitution and govt."
(I just gave the book away or you would have an exact quote.)

But I did just get an email from Edwards saying MLK 3 wrote Edwards a letter urging him to stay in the fight as long as John can.

Thanks for the links, Janet. Mahalia was great. Her singing goes deep down into my soul. There is such a pureness and honesty in her music.
