I think if Bush does ever get the amendment through, he and Rumsfeld will have to divorce each other.

Seems like we're having a non-violent revolution on this issue. It's fun and however much Bush might try to make it a wedge issue, right now it's got a life of its own, outside of the political parties. I'm kind of enjoying it.

I'm hearing that town clerks all over NY are going to have a very busy day tomorrow (Friday 3/5) with same-sex couples applying for marriage licenses... I hope that a few town clerks have the chutzpa to issue them!

The Rs are trying to label it 'anarchy' but they're setting themselves up to look ridiculous--where are the riots and fires and looting that word evokes? I think most people, whether they agree with it or not, recognize it as that good old American tradition of nonviolent civil disobedience. Tea, anyone?
