I'm sorta thinking most of us agree we're damn sick of this war. Living in St. Lawrence Co. NY (a landmass about the size of Rhode Island) I sorta felt immune to the actual realness of it all. Last wk alone we lost 2 men in Iraq, both from St. Law. Co. NY. One guy being a Reservist, only being in country for a wk or so. 24 yrs. young & such a waste of life. To think he grew up just miles down the road from where I grew up. It hits home...Watching his family members on the news, I realize they're proud of thier son. Rightfully so. Myself, couldn't bear the loss, especially in such a sad state of affairs...(meaning the WAR)

A toast to ALL the brave men, trying to bring peace to a world that doesn't seem to want it! ?????

It makes me think of the song 'Washington County'. but instead of being happy it's sad.

Amen! So far both my boys in the Service are still here in the States, but with all the new call-ups, I guess that could change at any time. Scary!

Chaulk that up to 3 (that I personally know about) A 19 yr old from the 10th mountain Division died early today. Kid was originally from Massachucettes. Poor bastard, so young.

A toast to the brave & all the boys in the 10th!!!

Thanks to all those serving in our military. They did not choose where to go, they do as they are ordered. Some pay the ultimate price. May they rest in peace.

One of the three killed yesterday was a woman from the 4th Infantry out of El Paso. When will this stop?

Another casuality of the 10th mnt division. My heart went out to that womans family Ceashel. Just how far are we willing to go, in the search for cheap oil???? What a heartbreak it is. Depressing, at best!

*It makes me wonder how much censorship is going on.? Something tells me we're only getting the 1/2 of it. The world at times seems to be going backwards instead of ahead?

If the Bush administration has its way I don't think it's going to stop any time soon. Last night, during a Democratic debate, Clark called on Congress to do something now to stop this administration. He said he didn't think it could wait until the election. I don't think that was campaign rhetoric. I think that was because he's reading this Israel/Syria situation, together with our recent statements about Iran and is thinking that this administration is working to create a situation where we are "forced" into more wars in the ME.

All of that except his statement is just my opinion of how the. Just don't want to put words in anyone's mouth. That's just how I'm reading in in light of recent events.
