Thanks! It was a good day. My mom's surgery went very well. Her doctor was very pleased with the result. While I was waiting, I met a very nice woman who was waiting for her fiance to get out of a procedure. We ended up spending the better part of the day together chatting. She had her camera with her and showed me lots of pictures of her grandkids and some flower arrangements she sets up. It was her son's birthday too, so I loaned her my phone so she could call him and wish him a happy birthday. Amazing that out of all the people that I might have met it was her.

Got to see my son and his fiance, when I got home, which was great!

And then went out to dinner with a friend and was given lots advice. The sky was so beautiful. I learned a lot and figured out a lot. It was a good day and a good start to another year.

My mom isn't bouncing back very quickly from this procedure.... I'll be going to see her tomorrow night after work.
