well maybe i am a fool to care but i would like to say thank you for caring.

it has been raining for days now and i am wondering, what do people do when it has been raining for days under such circumstances? well i know what i did...i was just itching to pick a fight with someone...so that is what i did! come rain or mud! damned kind hearted pirates they were...couldn't even be provoked by the skull and crossed swords emblazoned across the front of my shirt...i didn't even get belligerent and holler at the band to play row row row your boat!

I am sick of the rain myself and that's for sure! all frickin week end long and now I am going to work and it is going to be beautiful outside? por que? I got to tell you Agnes, I can't really picture you as a terrorist, it almost made me laugh but if breakin' bad with your funky self helps you through the rough spots, then we can sing row row row your boat in rounds (you can even start it out!) but I got to say with a skull and crossswords it might be a little scarier to sing the drunken sailor song

i imagine by now that paul newman has not gotten by my mom without being noticed and that she is talking his ear off (being as how they both passed recently). i imagine she may have started with the best ways to prepare popcorn and wound up (with relevance to be had !) about a letter from the queen.
(i remember her, when a couple of us kids were at home sick, once sending the mailman to the corner store to pick up a loaf of bread...boy those were different times)!?

our personalities were very different i think...but we had our moments. i loved the idea that she shared that rainwater would make your hair soft.
and i loved it when i made her laugh. those seemed to be our best and truest moments.
"but i never taught you to use that kind of language!" (i wouldn't go out of my way or anything but like when i would say, "bastards!" or "jackass!" and things)
that is true mom but sometimes i don't have the mental agility to come up with anything better?

sometimes it is hard not to say a swear!

i suppose everyone has different ways of processing things?

Agnes, when you posted Box of Rain.... what can I say? I am sorry for your loss. Losing a parent , no matter what the circumstance , is difficult.

Agnes, I was a little taken aback when our cousin welcomed me to the 'Orphans' Club' after I lost both parents, but over some years it's been a comfort to know that she and others who have lost parents may not have feelings exactly like mine, but they do understand. Now I greet you, in sadness that you lost your mom but also in joy that you have many good memories of her, and that she left you with a legacy of love--that's obvious.
