Hi All,

I know I already stuck my nose in a couple of places and didn't introduce myself. I'm Stephanie (Sorry Terrie...not photographer Stephanie :)) I'm from Austin, Tx and ashamed to say, I really had no clue about Arlo other than something I heard about a pickle and a motorcycle once a whole lot of years ago.

The road that lead me here ....I can't explain. Let's just say that Arlo has a way of sneaking up on ya without even trying. I know there is a reason. Just not sure what it is just yet. :D I couldn't ignore it, because it wouldn't go away even if I had wanted it to. He just kept appearing in some way or another. It feels a bit quest like, so I'm just going to sail along until the reason presents it's self. Hope you all don't mind!

I guess I just wanted you all to know that I wasn't a troll. I understand you all are Blunders and I tend to be a Blather..er, so I'll promise to try to keep it short-n-sweet from now on!

Anyhoo...Hello the house! :D and I'm sorry for not introducing myself before I started posting!

Hi, Stephanie, and welcome. Most of us blunder and blather as well; we're multi-talented that way. I was an Austinite from 72-79; great years. We ex-pats are depending on you to keep it weird; don't let us down. Onward through the fog ...

Thank you everyone!

It has already proven it's self a very fun place to be.

I know I kind of went off on the other newest member and I'm sorry, but it gets to me...as I'm very sure it does all of you as well...when someone comes in and seem to be bashing. I will be more careful. 8)

There are some amazing minds in this forum and I'm proud as punch to be associated with you all. Be it known upfront that I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. In fact, I don't even live in the shed...more like an ally or two over, but hopefully, I can make up what I lack knowledge wise, with humor.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome!

Welcome to the group Stephanie, from a square peg that does not fit in a round hole.

Peace,
Lorie

Thank you all!

It's really a surprise when your not looking for it. It doesn't even grab you. More like it puts out an aroma you just have to follow. 8)

I even attempted to resist, but it was futile.

I'm glad I gave in. I usually take the long way around, but I get there...eventually.

I'm so enjoying everyone's depth and wit. What a wonderful mix! It's been a great ride up to this point and only had to tighten my seatbelt twice since I arrived......yesterday! LoL Kidding

Thank you all for the warm welcome. The enrichment I have already gained has been well worth it!

You made me smile with not being able to explain the road that led you here - I think most of us have said that one time or another, but we're all glad to be here. For me it was something about a beautiful, young lady with long dark hair, at a Carnegie, yelling across the floor to my then fiancee' "I know this man!!" Before i knew it, I had an email address in my hand and the rest was history.

Hi Stephanie - I have a niece in Delaware named Stephanie - so I feel I have enough credentials to introduce myself. My husband JohnC & I are frequently seen among the Blundertribe, although he has become a website dropout of late.

Dont worry about not being the smartest board in the shed, Ive got that pretty much covered (ask Larry). But getting to know these people has been one of the smartest moves of my life. Don't let them kid ya, they're a bunch of softies who you will find yourself (inexplainably) running to - to share your hard times and your joys.

So I'll be your NYC contingent and welcome you as part of our zany little family. Im partial to y'all Texans anyway!!

What a lovely Welcome Post! Thank You!

It started out normally enough. Hubby & I were headed home for T Day and heard Alice's. We had never heard it before. Even had to pull over because the station was fading and you don't invest 11 minutes in to a song and not see it through.
Within a couple of weeks, I was browsing around a Pawn shop or a GoodWill store and ran across the movie. (I do this a lot...Alice's isn't a movie you see everyday on a shelf.) The irony of timing on that alone was enough for me to start poking around, but the pull to do so really took me by surprise.

He has a lot to teach and there are things I need to learn. That was my thinking when I got here, but in that last thread alone... I found there is much to learn from all of you great folks here.

I don't feel like my mission (I don't really have a mission, I mean for whatever reason I'm meant to be here) hasn't presented it's self yet, but once I got here, the pulling feeling eased up a bit... So I guess it's the right direction.

NYC ! I was going to say I'd trade ya weather, but looks like it's a wee bit warm up there as well. I wouldn't mind the heat as much if it were hand in hand with a wee bit o rain!

Thank you again!
