We're not in Kansas anymore Toto! The winds have moved across Europe and are hitting Istanbul this morning. The ferry crossing this morning was a little on the wild side. Came home and one of the shutters was ripped off the front window.

Only had 2 metal shutters ripped off the windows today. Could have been worse. Course, it's not over yet....

Hi there, thanks for asking, I'm doing o.k. It certainly was an experience having the winds rattling at the roller blinds like crazy. In all of Germany you were asked to stay at home. For the first time in German railroad history all the trains were stopped, nothing moved and ten thousands of travellers were stuck in the railroad stations over night. Unfortunately still some people died, getting hit by a fallen tree in their cars or due to traffic accidents when trucks fell over. I guess we are starting to experience what people in some areas of the US are used to every year.
Great Britain, Ireland where hit real bad too. What about Beverly, any news from her?
Around my home we only had one fallen tree that fortunately hit nothing but the ground and lots of limbs small and big flying around.
I don't care for more of that.

I was very windy here that day, but not too bad, a fence pannel blew off, but I was more suprized that the whole fence didn't fall down as it's all hanging on by its rust. and Alan's garrage got a battering but on the whole we got off verry lightly. Thanks for thinking about me

I was wondering if any of the blunderites living in Great Britain are affected by the terrible situation over there. If they are, they probably can't answer now, but maybe let us know later if they are o.k.? The pictures on TV are really scary and to know that about 350.000 people are without drinking water supply adds to it. Hope you are all o.k.
