Hi, With the Oct gigs in our minds, I thought I would post the phone numbers & addresses I had found... We've stayed at some but not all, so Im not recommending them in any special order. The ONLY one I would stay away from this year is the Briarcliff Motor Lodge. (Story below if you care to read it.) Otherwise - happy research.

Briarcliff and why were not staying there...JohnC and I have stayed there many times over several years. It was always adequate. But now the son has gotten involved. The last time we stayed there - May 2006, we had no shower curtain and when we asked for one, we got a hard time for asking - He was down right rude about it. Then our beds were not made up while we were gone and when I mentioned it to the son (while checking out) he said that he had asked John if we wanted "room service" and John said no - that making the beds didnt come automatically. (which I found absurd) I figured we had one of two problems...so I said that my husband is hard of hearing and may not have heard him. He said that my husband had no problem hearing him when he asked for his credit card. I tried to explain that they were face to face at that point, and he might have asked about the "room service" as John was leaving and didnt hear him correctly. He again told me there was nothing wrong with my husbands hearing...So then I said, we might be having a language issue and that "room service" was not the same thing as "Maid Service" that Room Service generally had something to do with food. I said, I was trying to explain that even if my husband did hear him, that might explain why he said no - to food - not to having the bed made. He told me at that point that they didnt serve food, so I was wrong. I just stood there dumbfounded and silent...His phone rang and he picked it up and at that point he raised his hand (Except that he was behind the desk, it honestly went through my mind that he looked like he was going to hit me) but then he pointed to the door. I was stunned and said "What?" and he said GET OUT !!! What? (again) GET OUT!!! - So I did. And although they are the only ones in town that have a "dog room" (Room #10 ) We will not be staying there - at least this year or maybe ever.

PS - Late breaking news...The Comfort Inn as of tonight is Booked with three weddings. That doesnt mean that things won't open up later, but I wouldnt wait and I wouldnt count on it.

Can't wait to see everyone!!
LOVE, REG
