Let this be a thread for self-promotions. I mean, what the heck! If you can't self-promote with fellow Blunderites & Moose Friends, who can you self-promote with? So, if you have a business, gig, service (legal ones only, please!), website, etc. that you'd like people to know about, post it here (unless the moderators find it crass and delete the whole idea!).

I'll be sitting in with Sue Gallagher ("The Sue Gallagher Acoustic Duo") in the upstairs lounge at The Adams Mill Restaurant this Friday, August 26, 2005 from about 8:00-ish to whenever they kick us out. Good food, good drink and good people (well, at least the ones I know are good!). Oh, and no cover!We will have some slight competition. The Stones are playing in the next town!

Thanks, folks. It's all fun except the settin' up & tearin' down! Ugh! I'm gettin' too old to be luggin' amps and speakers and such up and down stairs at 2:00 am! Well, a small price to pay to do something you like to do, I reckon.

If we are self promoting though I'll just mention that, of course I havn't had time to write anything at all since moving and Arlo but I still have some of my poetry books left, the ones I had with me when I came in 03. If you want one let me know, they are £2.50 so with posting over seas inc they'll be about $8, $ I will except and if I do get any orders I'll donate a $ to the church for every one.

I can personally recommend Oscar Van Higham's book of poetry. It's thought-provoking and there's really good imagery in there.

I'll be sittin' in with Sue Gallagher, again, at Adams Mill in Manchester, CT Saturday, 11/04/05 in the upstairs lounge from 7:30 PM to 11:30-ish PM.

On election day, Tuesday, 11/08/05, I'll be playing solo at Goomba's Pasta & Pizza, Route 189, Granby, CT during their dinner hour. Well, it's really two hours, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. They make really good pizza!

So, how did it go at Adams MIll? We were thinking about you and how much fun it would have been. Where's that ArloTardis when you need it? Or the BlunderBus?

We have this revolving door that lets you into the darkroom at work, without letting any light in. My boss always calls it the Tardis. I've always called it the Ttime Tunnel. Maybe that makes it the Arlo Tardis.

Will do, Judy. That'd be cool! I live on the topside of CT, just left of center (of course), so I don't get down by the shore too often. I did do a gig at a fireman's carnival in Woodbridge (down by New Haven) with a "country" band back in September. That was fun. Got to play some lap & pedal steel (don't get to do that playing solo).

And thanks for asking, Shel. The Adams Mill thingy was okay. It's a bit weird because the person I sit in with has a dress code! No denim (that's all I have!), no T-shirts, nice shoes (sorry, mine are all vibram-soled or pointy-toed cowboy boots), and wants me to tie my hair back so I look "respectable" (I drew the line there!). It pays well, though. And I do have fun playing. My SO made me some Hawaiian-type shirts out of material with rocket ships, looney tunes characters, a cartoon Batman, and day-glow planets. They seems to bother her, too! I'm just evil, I guess!
