I got a phone call from my daughter in Colorado... the one who is going to put up with me when I get there... They have had drought conditions for quite some time.

Tonight, she told me that there's a big grass fire in the area... about 1800 acres are burning right now. The highway just a block away from the house has been closed... and the danger zone extends to just a couple of blocks away. Her husband is hosing down the house, and she and the kids are getting things organized in case they are told to evacuate....

Some blunderstorm vibes would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for all the good thoughts... keep 'em coming!

The fire was contained within a few hours, so as this kind of thing goes, it isn't a bad one. It did come within about 2 miles of my daughter's house. They are still watching for flare-ups and flying sparks. Rain is desperately needed all across the west (except the California coast)... keep sending those rain vibes!

I wish I'd known about this, I hope everything is ok. We've had nothing but rain here every day for the past month, yesterday and today are the first dry days in a good long while. I hope where ever that rain cloud when off to it went to where it was needed.
