To those who at Carnegie asked, with longing in their eyes, what the temperature has been lately in Dallas, here's what the Hippy-Dippy Weatherman says at 6:30 (Central) this morning:

New York: 58
Great Barrington: 49
Dallas: 36

It's not always warmer here! I think we brought the cold back with us. You are welcome; we aim to please.

No, Larry, that is Fahrenheit. It's our additional punishment for not having seen Linda this year that we get cold weather. We will try never to let this happen again!

It's really winter now.... after having basically no autumn to speak of, it suddenly got very cold and windy the past few days.

I awoke to snow on the ground! Michael was out shoveling at 8:00 this morning... and he hasn't even finished raking all his customers' leaves yet!

We got our first snow of the winter season. Not much to write home about. Maybe an inch so far. We'll see how it all ends. Just glad I'm not driving in it... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

The closest thing to Blundering I'll be doing is seeing The Mammals on Dec 27th at the Woodford Folk Festival! (SIGH always the Bridesmaid never the BRIDE!!!!)
Nothing against The Mammals of course!!!
Say Hi and Good Luck to New Orleans for me and HI and Hug to adg!

Yucky weather here (in Connecticut) this morning. We had just enough snow to make it turn into something with the consistency of a Seven Eleven slurpie in our (450 ft.)driveway, once the snow switched to rain. Too thick to use a snow thrower on, so it was shovel the slurp! Luckily, it was just on the more level, lower section. Should freeze tonight. Then I'll have to sand! Ahh, life in the country! I've reached that age when it's no longer vitamins, but my "minimum daily requirement" of ibuprofin that I have to take!
