I sent this out to my gig emailing list, but figured that it couldn't hurt to post it here.

Hey Folks,

Some of you may or may not know Rob Fried, percussionist extraordinaire. Rob's played with a lot of great musicians in the Connecticut area music scene and was the percussionist for the band Max Creek for quite a few years. He's been going through some pretty tough times as of late. He was hospitalized a few weeks back with an as of yet undiagnosed medical problem affecting his mobility resulting in his having to use a walker to get around. He's also been out of work for some time. Anyone who knows him knows what a hell of a nice guy he is. His good friend Bert Teague has organized a benefit concert to help defray some of Rob's medical expenses. It's happening this Sunday. An all day event. I believe that it's only $10 per person. All of that and a percentage of food & beverage sales will go to Rob. It's a good cause for a great guy and you'll get to hear some of the area's finest bands and musicians for a mere ten bucks. For more details (or to verify the aforementioned) call the Lobster Barn at the number below.

Thanks a bunch!

The following info is from Dana Pomfret's web site:
