Hi, Sherry. I'm glad that you're up and about, and are able to even consider participating!

I'll be glad to help out. Email me and let me know where to send a check. It'll have to be small... there are so many groups having fund-raising walks this time of year... and I'm about tapped out.

But I had a neighborhood friend, a doctor and a professor who all have MS. I'd be remiss if I didn't include MS in my list.

thanks terrie...i appreciate it! my theory is there is no such thing as a 'small' donation because it isnt just about money!

and while i'm posting.....a little more information: the walk is on april 2nd and i believe it is 3 (flat!) miles! as long as it isnt too humid, i'm thinking i can do that easily the way i feel now!

i am also baking cookies for the 'apres-walk' party! i'll let you know how it goes!

Hi Sherry, I'm glad you feel up to the walk. I'll donate something but like Terrie it wont be much. Javan's school has had a lot on and it's Arlo's birthday comeing up. It would also have to be money sending a sterling cheque to be cashed in at a US bank is more trouble than its worth. You'll have to E Mail me your address and I'll post some $ to you. Hope it helps.

howdy all! well....i did the walk and the cookies were a big hit. there was also wonderful jambalaya, live music and a bunch of donations from big organizations. the coca cola company donated a soda 'wagon' for the event and frito lay donated chips for all. k&k water also donated bottled water for the event. i just figured i'd give them a plug since they all supported us.

it was a beautiful morning...sunny and bright but cool and breezy. you couldnt ask for a nicer day to take a 3 mile 'stroll' down by the lake....a beautiful route!

the mayor showed up (boo hiss..he refuses to do anything for firefighters in lake charles..like give them a raise or even sign the current contract) [but i guess this isnt the time or place to be political]

there proabably werent more than 50 people walking and there was no media attention at all. if i am around next year to be involved i am hoping to change some of that!

it's not too late to send in donations for anyone who may have put it on their 'to do' list and then forgot to do it! i handed in the money i had so far (140 dollars) and i know there are more checks coming in the mail, so i will send those all in together when i get them.

of course, we are about to be on the road (heading north for passover with mom) so it may take a while for the mail to catch up with us, but i want to say thank you again to one and all...for the support..both finacially and motivationally and spiritually. i appreciate it all!

<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15> happy day light savings time!
