Ruthie you're very kind, but, "A raise"? "Don't do any real work"? If I hadn't already voted for John Kerry, I might vote for you!

Ceashel!

Congratulations on surviving 25 years of BS!

Now behave yourself tomorrow, and when they go to take your picture with the boss, DON'T give a peace sign behind his head! (...on second thought... do!)

Shelley, I had no idea you'd been there for nearly that long, amazing you've managed to survive it! Congratulations! You deserve a merit badge.

Thanks, but no thanks. I know too much.
(Edited to say, that was rude; I'm sorry. I just find the whole thing kind of depressing. But all the good Blunderwishes, and the peace sign idea, make it better. If I don't actually do the peace sign, I'll be thinking about it, and all of you, so the smile will be genuine.)

Wow! 25 years with the Scouts! Do you think you can talk them into making "Peace" a merit badge?

Lots of changes in those 25 years ... at least in some of the literature, thanks to you!

You've outlasted some of the worst (can we say "professional Scouters") yet managed to carve a niche, survive, and actually made some positive changes--in a staid, conservative, time-warped institution like the BSA. You should be proud! You deserve to be commended for maintaining your morals and dignity through all the crap that's been thrown at you all these years.

Shelley, I'm not sure what it is you're thinking of as "depressing," being there for 25 years?

From one who can't hold a job for more than a few months, I say BRAVO to you! I've seen changes in BSA over the years, some ridiculous and some for the good. To be able to stay there for that long and effect positive change in such a majorly conservative, non-bending institution takes a lot of strength, willpower, determination and stick-to-it-iveness. And, Pam, yep about the "professionals."

Congrats Ceashel,
Sooooooooo you have been working there since you were let's say about 10 years old or so? heehee!

YA DONE GOOD!!!!

Now lets plan a retirement party so you can do what ya want and work with Jay.

But then again, you know they say "Be careful what ya ask for." It may be harder to keep Jay in line than than all the BS. Love ya Jay!

Congratulations, Ceashel! 25 years is a long time to stay in one place ('specially nowadays), but I'm sure you've made it a better place for many.
