we received bad news overnite, we have lost our first 3 men from NJ,Aarons Nat. guard troop that he is with, 3rd of the 112! Although the names of the soliders have yet to be released, i ask you all to keep the familys of in your prayers even more so now! Things are getting very busy and scarry over there right now, AND THEY (we)NEED your prayers!

Prayers and vibes to all the soldiers and their families...and to the people of Iraq too...

Many prayers for Aaron, his unit, and all the troops serving in Iraq and elsewhere overseas. May they come home soon, and safe.

Everybody who's posted to this has said it all for me. No sense in my adding any redundancy here, cept to say that I, too, am praying.

Me too. And prayers for my daughter's vice principal who was sent over there last month, just in time to miss graduation. She's very upset right now, worrying.

Linda and Larry, I hope you hear some good news soon.

Prayers just said. I wish it was like in the 60's where the National Guard stayed at home. That's how my cousin got outta going to Nam. May God be with them at this time...

Yes, Cheryl, your cousin "got out of" going to Nam by getting into the Guard, just like our esteemed Commander in Chief did. I was in the Guard too, AFTER serving 4 years in the Air Force (1964-1968), and got called up in 1970 when the rebellious mailmen of the Post Office went on strike briefly. Fortunately, I was not a casualty of that violent uprising.

I am surprised that more politicians are not commenting on the fact that the Guard is bearing a heavy burden in fighting this Bush war of choice. I always assumed that the Guard was sort of the domestic military. Why are they being used to fight an overseas war anyway? We need more of a full-time military if we're going to commit ourselves to butting in everywhere in the world.

Prayers to the NJ Guard and all concerned.

We just learned this morning that 2 more men in Aaron's unit were killed, and a few more injured. One of the injured is Aaron's best friend over there.

I do wish for tha safe return of Aaron and the rest of his troup, and my thoughts go out to those who have lost their relitives.

sitting here wishing i had words that could make a difference...or actions that could change the world..but since i dont - just know that all of you are in my heart and in my prayers and that aaron is on my mind...along with everyone else over there and everyone here worried about someone over there....

big hugs and maybe we should think about a gathering at the church to all get together and think good thoughts...an impromtu tailgate as it were?

I'm game Sherry. Sometime this summer maybe. In the meantime, we all can do something......vote the braindead commander in cheif out of office.
