Did I ask you this already? I'm sure everyone's heard about Google's 1 GB e-mail service by now and are either interested in it or not. I have five invites to give away. If anyone wants one, e-mail me at psalzer at gmail.com. (Don't want to post an e-mail address as a link.)

Hi Pat!

SBC Yahoo got so scared by the Google 1GB offer, they gave subscribers 2 GB mailboxes.

Now if Google would give all their users 5 grand...

True. The 2GB is subscription, but it's cheap and I hear there won't be ads in the web interface. Even for free you now get 100 MB with Yahoo, which is plenty, really, and they've upped the attachment size limit to 10MB which is what Google has.

Too bad YAHOO doesn't give folks more spam folders so we can filter out all that spam we get. Wish they'd bring back free pop3 access too...

I'm so used to clearing out my mailbox every day. When someone mailed me a huge file, *maybe* I hit 8 MB used, for a few minutes...

I had 10, I think, at AT&T. Then 100 at SBC, til they figured I needed more gig than my first 3 computers combined...

Now they say that Excite, IWon and MyWay, all owned by the same company are going to 125 MB for e-mail. We're going to have to do a lot of mailing to fill up all these accounts.
