Happy birthday-week-month-year, Judy! Here's hoping you have the best time ever. (Getting older ain't all bad ... at least not in the springtime).

Thanks, everyone! I just got home a little while ago, and the phone started ringing as soon as I walked in the door. I finally made it to the computer so I could check the boards. I've been celebrating my birthday all week. Actually, I started the day before Easter when my whole family was together. This Sunday one of my friends took me out to breakfast, and yesterday I went out to lunch with a friend who turned 60 last week--we bought each other lunch. Then today, I thought I was going out to lunch with just a couple people from work, but when we got to the restaurant, it turned out to be a surprise party for me, and there were 10 people there and a dozen red roses sitting on the table. My Mom had called my friend/manager Claire last week, and asked if she could arrange something, 'cos this is kind of a special birthday for me--the Big 50! Lunch was on Mom! I had my favorite tuna salad nicoise, and Claire insisted I have some wine, so I did, and then she also insisted I have dessert, so I had chonklit moose cake, of course, and the waitress put a candle in it and I got serenaded. We all had a good time. Tomorrow night some other friends are taking me out to dinner. All the local restaurants are very happy it's my birthday this week, and so am I!

Thanks again for all your birthday wishes!

I am doing my beautifully strange and strangely beautiful Birthday Dance in your honor, Judy, as soon as I find the zills and pogo-stick.

It's amazing how many of us are just turning 50 this year... and all of our birthdays are so close to each other.

Happy birthday to all of us.

OK, it's morning, when my mind is, as usual but especially so,in it's own strange place, and I have this wonderful image in my head of people hopping on pogo sticks and dancing themselves zilly through the gates of freedom in my honor--an image which I will carry with me all day at work and keep replaying as I'm in the darkroom cranking out 16x20 fine art prints.....Wonderful!

Thanks, everyone!
