Yesterday was Michael's 9th birthday. He's not wheezing, he doesn't have a cold, he's actually healthy this week!

He went with Lance to take Eric back out to western PA where he's in school. Unfortunately, on their way back home, Lance's car broke down. So they're stuck out in the tiny town of Ebensburg halfway between Indiana and Altoona. Luckily, Michael had his nebulizer with him, all his meds and there was a motel right across the street from where they broke down.

The bad news is that today is "opening day for buck" which means there are no mechanics available to fix the car. The tow-truck driver is picking them up at 9 and taking them down to Johnstown to a Subaru dealer. The dealer already said that if it's something simple, like a hose, he can "probably" fix it... otherwise, Lance and Michael are stuck until tomorrow.

This is surely a birthday Michael won't forget. His great adventure.

Update: Michael and Lance got home around 6 last night. A long day at the dealership (it was a hose, pricetag: $50). Michael's doing well, saw hunters all over the place!

Happy belated birthday ... or birthday week to Michael. An adventure AND a birthday! Sounds like fun to me.
