I wanted to whine, but not to impose a whine on an otherwise nice enough thread, so I'm starting a whine thread. You got a whine? Put it here. Don't want to hear the whining? Don't come here.

Here's the first one:

It was 109 degrees today. At 7:30 p.m., it's 106. It's HOT. Walking outside is like cramming yourself into a pizza oven. You can't breathe, you can't think.
<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/bawling.gif" width=21 height=16> This whine submitted by Ceashel on behalf of Ceashel, Cliffite, Stew, Bobbi2, and the Electric Horseman.

My grandpa was a house builder in Illinois. During the summer he carried an old thermometer to his houses. When it got to 110 inside the house he was building he packed up his tools and left for the day. I like his thinking...110 and I'm outta here! I hear that the Berkshires are nice this time of year. HeeHee!

... nice and WET!!!

Rain, rain and more rain.
(I'm actually just west of the Berks, but I know the weather pattern there must be close to what I'm experiencing just outside Albany!) Isolated thunderstorms for the last several days... after a couple of days of solid rain...

I'd send some of this stuff south if I could! got my fans pointing in your direction, anyway!

what silly whines you folks have, I have lived and worked outside at 125 degrees on a white earth that was super heated to 200 degrees and let me tell you, 109 is a nice day. So avoid the A/C units and get used to it, it is funny looking at people's faces when you put on a jacket at 90 degrees because it is cold.

damn whino's, talk about being a pain in the butt, dog gone it, someone should start a topic where and man might air his beefs.

I decided in the winter when it was so cold that when it got real hot I wasn't gonna complain about it cuz I'd remember how cold it was & couldn't bear to go back to the cold LOL! I feel for you folks in the over 100's... Good luck!

You're right, of course, Wyld--summer/fall in the Berkshires, winter/spring in the south. My brain was melting and I couldn't remember that part.

I grew up in this climate when we had no AC. People stopped doing all but the truly essential activities until it got better, or did them between about 3 and 9 a.m. And it didn't feel as bad, when there was no AC to be used to.

If anyone wants to start a Gripe thread, they are welcome to do so. I warned and stated clearly that this is a Whine thread.

Wyld, your Whine Zinfandel is still in the fridge, pining for your return.

My daughter, her husband, her daughter, their bulldog and two cats are moving in with us. How's that for somethin' to whine about? For them, too. It's probably even worse for them..but it's a close call over all. Believe me, I'm whining on the inside, nonstop.
