As you Blunderites are all aware of the Walk for Huntintons Korea AKA 'The HD Walk' is just around the corner. Yes, that might even be a corner near you. Needless to say, I heard Guthrie was hurtin almost one yr. later. Given these hard times, I must admitt, I have to walk this walk. People and I won't mention names, have inspired me beyond words. So me. I'll be there on Sat. Hopefully awake & registered around 9:00 A.M. and really look forward to listening to Jimmy Lafave. ( I hope I got his name right)? NTM it's Sunday at 3:00, not Saturday. I also look forward to hear Arlo sing. As Bob Eubanks would say, " Arlo I just love to hear you sing & play, and your son Abe. It's just remarkable"!

Anyhow I got the idea for sponcers. I looked up a bunch of the kids that played foot-ball back in Pop warner Days. They all came thru for me (not me but Lisa) and are paying me back, some time I donated to them so many yrs. ago. I hope to get at least 10 sponcers, & they are giving a dollar a mile. So time will tell if the old man down the road, can walk 10 miles.

Hey, Rob, my knees already hurt (but mostly just going down stairs) and I haven't started the Walk yet. That's what I get for kneeling on the floor, straightening out my dresser drawers...two weeks ago! We'll see how far I get. I don't remember many stairs along the route....

Oh come on now! How bad can it be when they got water every mile and ice cream at the halfway point?!?!! I mean I've lived through it twice so far!This will be three for me unless my math is wrong? I am gunna suggest a Guinness stand every hundred yards or so, but other than that, it's perfect!

Oh, and by the way, it's all either level or downhill except for the uphill parts.

... and isn't it something like 6-1/2 miles... not 10?

I can't wait to get together with you people to help those with HD.

BTW... that picture is from the First Garbage Trail Walk to Massacree HD - HomerJ is the one right behind Arlo, with the camera and the GPS! We clocked Arlo at 6mph for part of the walk! (HomerJ can't go ANYWHERE without his toys!)

Man! A folksinger can't even go for a walk nowadays without having somebody laying in wait with a radar trap! Did Arlo get stopped for speeding?? I mean I was there, and I don't remember that happening, and it wasn't even in the 60's!

Times change. Now you got cell phones, mini computes, NTM folkslingers walking, 6 mi. an hr. Let's just say this will be the turtle & the hair. I'm curious, as everyone's a winner baby! That's for sure.

And Judy, next time your on your knees cleaning dressers, say some prayers. My Grandad also told me, it's best to kill two birds with one stone, whenever possible..

Hey, RB, I usually say my prayers lying down, too....which is probably the reason why I don't finish them every night. Maybe I should switch to my knees. The pain would keep me awake long enough to finish!
