Lament of a long-distance Blunderite:

I hope Arlo doesn't think there is not enough interest in the retreat We really, really wanted to go but just didn't have enough lead time to work it out. It would be great if there were one in the fall. We've had that trip planned since last October, and we could add some days for a retreat.

We know that you all will be there in spirit... and we will hold that thought close through the weekend!

I would love to be there, too, but I can't. It was one year ago at the Spring concerts that I gave Arlo the first quilt. Send a few vibes Outward to all the rest of us Blunderites who will be thinking of you. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

I can't find the words to describe the Retreat... Wonderful doesn't do it justice!

Swami Krishnapriya and Jaya Devi Bhagavati are both teachers who expect their charges to work to the best of their ability, yet know that not everyone has the same ability. Although I've never done any yoga before, I felt comfortable doing the different breathing techniques and positions...

... and more important for me... they guided us through meditations to a place inside and outside of the self. I will need to practice these meditations so that I can find that place easily!

Yes, I was aching... not being in good shape for this kind of effort over a period of several hours... but the pace was good, and Krishnapriya and Jaya Devi helped us to know how to modify the practice to our own ability.

Then... as a special bonus, Arlo arranged a conference call in to Ma's teaching at the Ashram! Her words touched us all through the many many miles! Thank you, Ma... thank you Arlo!

BTW - Several blunderites were there, and I met Ters for the first time... Terry, I love you... I hope you had a safe trip back home to Wisconsin!
