Fred Rogers left this Neighborhood last night, at the age of 74.

He was the butt of many jokes because of his mild manner, but I felt that he was really good for the kids. He will be missed!

So sad & sorry to hear about him., I saw it on the news. He seemed like a really nice man. May God be with is family at this time. It may be a sad day in the nieghboorhood here on earth but a happy day in the neighborhood in heaven as he joins those who have gone on before. Peace & God Bless... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/peace.gif" width=16 height=16>

Everyone at the library is wearing cardigans and sneakers in his memory today, and moments of silence are planned for all storytimes. He will be missed. He was a truly good person who looked out for little kids and their families.

"Love isn't a state of perfect caring. It is an active noun like "struggle." To love someone is to strive to accept that person exactly the way he or she is, right here and now--and to go on caring even through times that may bring us pain."
Mr. Rogers

Mister Rogers and Captain Kangaroo where the last of the good guys, I don't think we will ever see the likes of them again.
