We're going to do a page on Todd for the group w home. By "we", I mean "we" as in all of us. Dave likes the idea and it's fine with Cindy so we're good to go. What I'd like it to be is not eulogies, but more of a word picture of what Todd was like as we knew him, in our various ways. I'd like it to be made up of your recollections of his own words, actions, interractions and so on. It doesn't have to be anything deep or meaningful, although that's fine, too. Just life..something to remember him as we knew him, and also for people who join later not and never knew him. Cause I think he's going to be a legend around here as long as we're here. Also, of course, a few pictures. I only have the same one that's on the ArloNet gallery. I think Wyldflower had another. If anyone else does, that'd be great, but they have to be digital. I'm without scanner at this time.

So, how about it?

Great idea pat! i may have a picture or two to e-mail to you...
and i agree with the front half, todd would have totally hated the whole idea, but then would have set himself right in the midst of it! todd clearly is on the other side of that "No Trespassing" sign!

...i really miss todd. i still say it out of the blue...

when i first got on the internet and was trying to sort it all out, sort out all the people and who was who (remember billy?...as if you wouldn't...) (i think the reason i mention billy is from my first recollections, he and todd were like two tasmanian devils) (and i mean that in a good way)
...anyway, i would come across one of todd's posts and find myself leaned forward and reading it a couple of times and delighting in my confusion. i loved it...how strangely abstract yet, mathematical. he seemed sometimes to simultaneously express polar opposite sides of an argument as if it were one thought! ....put perfectly and concisely into one case in point.

of course this hardly touches on the person i met, and i'm really glad i met him, even though he outright questioned my reasoning on that one...

ps...actually, there's a really nice photo in the gallery of todd with larry f. , billy b. and arlo.

This topic reminds me of a story I once heard, it took place in a kingdom far away and long ago. One day into the kingdom there came a wagon, bigger then any ever seen before and being pulled by a great team of horses, when asked what the cargo might be, the wagon driver replied "it's an elephant, and for a bag of gold I shall let the people see it".
Now, no one had ever heard of an elephant, but the king was curious, rather then spend is money too quickly, the king decided to send his spies to find out what kind of beast the elephant might be.
Late that night the spies when into the wagon and in total darkness they tried to discover what the elephant was. They reported their findings back to the king.
"Oh master it is like a tree," said one, "no no, it is like a snake," cried another and the third was certain, "it was like a large palm branch fanning the air."

So it is with Todd, I think the stories will differ greatly from one teller to the next, but all will agree, that never has there been a creature such as this seen in the kingdom before.

my only reply would have to be, "Todd Who?"

sorry nate, but i'll have to disagree with you on this one (i know, this shatters your entire opinion of me...)
It's totally understandable for a reply to go:

arlo who?

but for todd, the correct reply would be:

todd!!!#@&X!*$?

You mean send photo's allready scanned. Done deal Pat! Yes, we all did in fact know Todd in differant ways. A legend he will be, for some time to come......

*I have one cool shot of Todd cutting a Guinnes can in 1/2 with a saw, at Dennis's B-day party. Todd was cool, showing me the ball inside that apparently keeps the foam, at a even keel.....(Todd knew I'd been on the wagon for yrs. so he picked up on the fact, I found that extra interesting...

Werd agnes!!!!

Pat I'll e-mail you a few.

It's an excellent idea. As someone said, they wonder what Todd would think of this or that. It's sad to think that he's not anywhere here anymore.

Bobbi, I think that that is what this is kind of about. As someone said, he had a big heart, & It was a contagious thing, that made ones own heart grow...

*He's lurking just around the corner.....We'll miss him in 'This Material World' but he'll forever be(in our midst)....More so, than we ever realize....Sorta the believe in miricles type of thing...

Not only that. You don't gotta believe in Miricles or nuthin. Cause wether ya believe or not, ya can't rule out the inevitable.

Some place, somewhere, sometime, somehow, I'm gonna see that gal. And when I do, "Right Alice" To the moon!....
