Good morning, Blunderland! And thanks for being here, all of you! I can feel the support and love coming from all directions, and it helps me be strong in a hard time.

I am SO looking forward to next fall! We'll need some filling in, in the meantime, about where to stay, what to bring, etc. Sounds like cookies are covered, but then, can there ever be too many? I've seen references to a "tailgate," too, and need more info. I wish we could make both the church and Carnegie, but I doubt the piggy bank could stretch to cover two trips that close together. Maybe one one year, one the next. It may seem early to start planning, and it is, but I'll need time for the information to process when I get turns at the braincell.

Cheryl, Stew, Pamram, Toddy, Muffy, Bumper, Baldwinville, Sherry, and everyone--thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. My dad died last night, peacefully and in no pain. The room was so crowded with Blunderite good vibes and wishes, you could hardly get in! It's been a long eight (or ten?) years he fought Alzheimer's, and a long 35 years before that as he fought multiple sclerosis, but he's whole and well now. And you're helping me to be, too.

Todd, thanks so much. If I ever write "the book," he will figure prominently. And my apology for calling you Toddy. It was a typo, really! I'm so glad it doesn't fit you at all, now! I'm thinking some of my dad--the don't give up part, especially--is in you, too.

Ceashel - I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He must have been such a model of strength -- to cope with Alzheimer's and MS. I will be thinking of your courageous father all day.

My condolences, Ceashel, keep his memory, with you, always. Remember those moments, when his spirit shone thru the Altz. That's where he told you he loves you. I see it, in Nanna, when I comb her hair, Some mornings, she looks up & says "Thank you, Honey"

Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours Ceashel, and peace and clarity are now with him, to be sure.

I printed this thread and shared it with my sister, and your kind words and thoughts are a help to her, too. Thank you all so much: Pat, Deb, Larry, Anna, Arnie, Larry...et al. I'm getting more good vibes than the many posts account for, so thanks to everyone who's sending them.

We're in the 'making arrangements and calling people' mode, which I think is designed to keep you busy and keep your mind off things, but is a big damn nuisance, especially when you thought you had them all made.

Not much else to say on this topic, except there aren't any wheelchairs or walkers in heaven, and my mom and dad are dancing together again.
