WOW!!!

Incredible show last nite... I was in the kitchen for a good part of it, but heard songs that I'd never heard done, live, before!

Lots of good friends are now gathered, and we know more of you are on your way... and we know that lots of you are there in spirit - we could feel you! The most incredible vibe is happening! Thank you all for being part of it!

Kitty you should be on the road. We will/did not make it. Chucks dad passed at noon Friday, They put a rush on and the visitation was tonight. Funeral Services will be at 2 pm Houston time Sun. Arlette got in late Sat. night and will see you tomorrow Sun. at the tailgate party. We told her to ask you to please lead all the blundrerites at the tailgate party there in sing Amazing Grace at 3pm Mass. time Sun. While you will be opening the funeral service with it at 2PM our time. It would be so nice to know y'all are with us in that moment. Since we could not make it there.

Last nite at the reunion they had a local hillbilly bluegrass group sing. They were really good & sang a few gospel songs too...

What a great weekend! I'll be interested to hear what recipes you dig up for those fresh water lobsters, Arnie. I tend to be sensitive to salt, and those fresh water lobsters, living in fresh water as opposed to salt water, are low sodium lobsters. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

There's a certain pull toward Arlo & the church. I've been pondering it for years. I'm not one to join anything. But the atmosphere, the mood, the ambiance is hypnotic especially when Arlo & family are playing. Even unoccupied it has a certain "feel".

I spoke to a few folks there Saturday and said that I've never really much "fit in" anywhere. They said the same about themselves. I think we're a group of very independent people who have found a home. "The freaks who look normal", yes. We all look like we fit in. We have jobs & families. But there's something about not being one of the crowd.

Arlo's message is inspiring. It's always a magical moment being there.

Bobbi, you hit the nail right on the head! That's exactly how I've felt, not "fitting in" and not really wanting to before.

This was my first visit to the church for a concert series (I visited years ago and Lisa gave me the grand tour), although I've "followed" Arlo for over 33 years now.

Lance and I are already talking about NEXT October! And I'll probably come up for the Spring concerts with my Arlo-buddy Mari.

Arlo, thanks so much for just being you. You make me laugh, cry, smile, reflect. You even make me think, and that can be scary sometimes!

As a side note: today we got a call from our almost-18-year-old daughter; she'd had an "accident" on a haunted hayride where she works on weekends. Although she had a concussion and promised to get to the doc or the ER, she didn't go. Instead she went home, slept, did a class-trip, then slept more. I finally had to call my sister to drive an hour to get Corey to the ER. Ellen met us at the ER around 9 PM and stayed with Michael at home until we got back with Corey around midnight. Big thanks go out to my over-worked sister. Please send blundervibes to my darling (albeit not too bright) daughter.

She'll be fine after a few days of rest and lots of tylenol/ibuprofen.

So, what you're saying is that we are all like the lost and spare pieces from thousands of jigsaw puzzles, that all meet in one place, should not fit together, but do ,to form a picture that doesn't look the same to any set of eyes, but seems more or less the same to all of us anyway. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/confused.gif" width=15 height=22>
