Vibes headed out to you and Judy.

Prolly should be a laproscope instead of an arthroscope though...

Nancy's had more than her share of doctor stuff this year! Vibes are going to her with the hope that by now she's on the healing side. When she can be hugged, please give her hugs for us and for Susan.

Well, as of right now, we haven't heard anything about my sister yet, so I don't know if they were able to get her appendix out arthroscopically or laproscopically (yeah, that is probably the word I meant) or any other way. We're not even sure what hospital she's in. But thanks for all the vibes, everyone! When I hear something, I'll let you know!

You know, when I talked to Nancy on Sunday, she sounded very tired to me, but never mentioned any pain. She did say she was ironing, though. Do you think there's a connection here? Do you think that maybe chronic ironing causes appendicitis? My Mom's a chronic ironer, and she had to have her appendix out years ago. I, however, only iron once every couple months or so, if that, and I still have mine. Hmmmm.

Well, the saga continues. As you may know, we never had any word from my sister last night. This morning my mother remembered the name of one of Nancy's friends, got her number from information and called her. She didn't know anything, but was able to give Mom the name of the hospital Nancy is in. Mom called the hospital, and after being shuffled around on the phone for 45 minutes, finally found out what was going on. My sister spent the night in the emergency room being "observed". Although her appendix is enlarged and she has some mild to moderate pain, she has no other symptons, so they didn't operate. She was eventually admitted into the hospital this morning, and they are doing tests, but that is all that has happened so far. She hasn't been allowed to eat, in case they really will need to do surgery, so she hasn't had anything but liquids since Monday. At least she has lost of few pounds dealing with all this. And that's the way things are right now. Did all your prayers and vibes stop or at least slow down an appendicitis attack in its tracks? I don't know, I just live on the planet, but I do know anything is possible. Mom sounds exhausted, and so am I, 'cos I've been swamped at work with a big rush job ever since I returned from my Thanksgiving trip to NJ (have I really only been back 2 days?), and between that and thinking about my sister, I only got 3 hours of sleep last night and feel like I could use a blood transfusion myself right now. But that's life.

And that's the latest!

Mom is calling Nancy again tonight to see if there is any more news. I'll let you all know what's up when I know.

Thanks, as always, for everything!

OMG ... miss a few days and all sorts of things happen! Poor Judy and Nancy and mom! Blundervibes all over the place. Maybe a few more and the appendix will just disappear on its own. Weirder things have happened. Seriously, major blundervibes to you all. (Get some sleep!)

Well, I just got off the phone with my Mom a little while ago, and here's the scoop. The hospital is letting my sister go home! They finally gave her some food at lunch today--beef stew of all things--and she was OK with that, and she had a little dinner tonight, so they said she could go home. They now think that maybe she had a bladder infection, and they'd been giving her antibiotics, which supposedly would also help stop an appendicitis attack if that was going on, too, but anyway, whatever was going on, they now say she can go home. This all sounds weird, I know, but I don't write the news--I just report it. She is very glad to be going home, though, and looking forward to getting some rest and taking it easy for a few days.

So hopefully that is the end of this saga!

Thanks again, Everybody! You're the best!

Hi y'all, Happy belated Thanksgiving, it's me, Shirley in Texas. Glad to hear Judy's sis is okay - Blundervibes can make miracles happen, like turning appendicitis into a bladder infection! My Dad, also the beneficiary of mucho Blundervibes, ended up having to have emergency surgery the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and while he was not at home for Thanksgiving, he was well enough by then to eat the fine hospital holiday feast. He said the pie was pretty good. He's in a nursing home now, until he gets strong enough to take care of himself. We plan to have him home by Christmas. Thanks, everybody, love you all
Shirley

Hi, Shirley. Glad your dad's surgery was so successful that he was able to eat his T'giving dinner, even if it was hospital food.

Judy, when you say Nancy's going to "relax," does that preclude getting any ironing done? Glad she's doing well.

Sorry, Arnie. I got my "scopics" mixed up. Or maybe it was my Mom who got the scopes mixed up, and I didn't catch it. Yeah, that was probably it.
