Thrift shops, is that what you call charity shops over your side. I'm always in them either donating stuff the kids have grown out out or I don't need or I'm bargin hunting. I'm always finding realy good stuff, top brand name clothes for us for next to nothing; I found Javan a designer coat this winter just gone, it didn't have any tags on but I recon it was new, 50p I payed. If I'd have gone to the shop to but it I'd have forked out nearer £60. No one would beleive I'd only payed 50p for it.

i'm not sure why it suddenly made the shift from moon to microphone other than a context thing. probably a brightness contrast adjustment to the monitor would clear it up but i kind of like it how it is.
i do have a pair of bright red rimmed +1.00 glasses i got from the thrift store that i got for reading small print. i love those glasses.
my dad uses a similar kind of glasses (the kind you buy of the rack at the grocery store or wherever) that were in disrepair since he sat on them, but put them back together with pieces of bent wire making me think of a mad scientist especially when he's out on the step tapping out morse code.

Sounds like my glasses. One rim broke off on the side & they can't be fixed. I can't afford a new pair right now so I tpaed them up. I just use them for driving mostly...

I had the nicest surprise last night. Went to Jackson to visit a friend of mine and there was a car show. Haven't been to a car show in a long time. A Jackson dream cruise. Guess there's a race out that way today, the Indy drivers were there too.

This mornin' I went downtown A2 and ran into a man we call Shakey Jake. Jake was always hangin out on street corners and playing his guitar. He's not a young person, probably got to be at least 80 something.

They have 2 antique car shows around here. The one at Food Lion in Hopewell, VA & the one at Hardeees in Chester, VA. We like to go to those. I love antique cars. Wish I could afford one. I tell Mike you are so lucky to have a wife who likes antique cars lol...

But then we'd end up with all your hot down here! Hope you can find a way to stay cool Spark.

It's kewl here in north NY. This a.m.... Thunder showers late last evening no dought cooled things off. Truth being we're just not used to the heat. I wish you could make it stateside, Spark. I'd give you some A.C. I have two of them ( small units 5000 btu's) that are gonna be in a lawn sale, anyday now. as the first of August will seem like sept, as it has for the last 7ral yrs. Glomal warming doesn't seem to be effecting our summers too much...

but it's pretty wierd in the winter... altho it was cold we had ZERO amt of snow fall.... What snow we did have melted... and it was a green Xmas and less than 8 inches at anyone given time, all last winter here in St. Lawrence Co.... Altho, I blame the cold weather for lack of snow. I usually bank my foundation, about 4 - 5 ft, with the white packy stuff...... Snow makes it warmer in the winter, as it's a great insulater, in allot of respects...
