What great news! Since ya gotta have treatment, thank goodness your doc says you'll do well with the less severe treatment. And NOT having to go to Yale is a definite plus. The less time you spend near those "Bones" guys, the better! Still sending blundervibes your way!

Less severe is definitely better and it would have been really hard to manage life or finances even with cheap housing - they're hooked up with Ronald McDonald House in some way and there are some adult beds there for treatment at this place. But New Haven was really nice and Yale Cancer Center was one of the most cheerful places you could imagine. What any Blunderite would love, though, is the food vendors that surround the area. We got there around lunch time and there must have been twenty different street vendors set up in the immediate area and they'd put any New York street vendors to shame. There was a vast selection of Thai, Vietnamse, Chinese,Mexican foods..sometimes in the same dish. One Asian vendor was so authentic that they didn't even have a menu in Englilsh. There were any number of types of huge salads available as well as hot dogs and hamburgers. All good quality and well prepared and pretty cheap. A Blunderite's dream.

Blundervibes are working overtime. I just found out I have enough time accrued to cover the whole radiation period if I need to be out of work for it. I don't know what maintenance will be yet, because they won't decide about that until after the radiation.

I guess it'd be too much to ask for nitrogen mustard vibes...that would be a lot easier to deal with on a longterm basis than the other possibilities. One thing at a time, though. First, the radiation has to actually work.
