Well as you've seen elswhere, I'm back. Thank you for all the above posts they were wonderful to read when I was so stressed out.

But now MY braincell has come back! And I'm feeling on top of the world !!!!!!! (and no Lar the cause was not Vegemite, I prefer Promite myself!)

IT was just that alot of shitty stuff happened to me in a short space of time. I won't go into a long saga but it started in May '07 with the murder of a dear friend You all would have loved him, he was a bee keeper who loved nature and was always kept up with political issues including US politics. He kept his nursery hives at our place and used to drop in (he was one of those people who could drop in without notice and you didn't care) I still miss our our talks of nature and politics. Another bee keeper who needed money tried to steal his 40,000 OZ dollars worth of honey and shot him.(He's in prison now.)

Then I had my Dad assessed for Ahlziemers as I had lots of experience in that field, and the family found it hard to cope with. He is very early stage more like just senility.

Then my Mom had an car crash so I was working in Horticulture then driving down for 3 days every week to stay with him do shopping sort out bills etc taking him to the hospital to visit Mom. My Sis and Bro helped a bit but didn't really get it that he couldn't cope with some things on his own. Mom was in hos for 9 weeks then I started going down every second week to take her to physio and shopping etc. My Sis took her too. Then I helped her get into a routine with Dad (and they are doing great now).
Then I just kept going to give her emotional support. Then at the end of '07 I left Horticulture as I was having lots of back trouble (the stress was making it worse) So thats when I went for my retreat to the beach. And while there was asked to do an interview to work for a respite centre and go into homes of War Vets (WW2) and their spouses to help around the house. So I took it (bad move as I had burned out in 2000 after 9 years working in Aged care in a Dementia unit) My sensible daughter said "DON"T DO IT MUM! But I saw it as a way to quit Horticulture (which I love).

So I was doing that and still going to my folks every second Fri and Sat plus mowing their lawn and gardening. Then some of the Vets started using me as a sounding board and eveything just crashed on top of me in Nov. '08 My body and brain just screamed YOU HAVE TO STOP FOR A WHILE so I did! Literaly! My body and mind stopped! I've learned that if you don't take care of yourself you are no good to anyone! My beloved and my dear daughter Jess never stress me but they have supported me thru this also my amazing TMJ physio she has a gift that one! She usually just has to work on my back about once a year (I've been going to her for 20 years) But when I get mega stressed my TMJ symptoms blow up all out of proportion and I can't chew properly, have pain and tinnitus. Humming in the left ear and morse code in the right with crickets in the background!

Well it's all settling down now!!!!!! Tinnitus not so bothersome! Sleeping like a baby! And I could eat a HORSE!

My Mom and Dad are doing well have a gardener now and a cleaning lady. Mom has always been a wiz at finances so she's running the whole show (at 85!) My Sis and Bro are visiting more (they had to when I was out of the picture for a few months!! Me thinks I need to learn to delegate insistanly!I think they've gotten the message somehow!)

So now I need to find some new avenue of employment. I love books so later this year am going back to college (AGAIN!) to become a Library Assistant. (when I was a kid we used to go camping in the mountains in Oregon, Wash and B.C. I thought I'd like to be a Forest Ranger but when we moved to OZ, tho there are nice Forests here it's not the same as working with Smokey the Bear amongst the Douglas Firs.)

So I can have the energy to work on my own acreage and my Vegie patch even when I get home from work!

So that's the short story, so life is sweet and I say don't sweat the small stuff! Just watching the ducks and dragonflies makes me smile again and I will make an effort to slow down and smell the horse manure!

Thank you all again for being there! Now that's all folks I'v learned from it but am leaving it behind!

If you knew the person who has died, write a note and mention a trait about them that you remember fondly. It can be anything from "I just thought about Susan and how she always made strawberry birthday cakes for everyone" to recalling how Paul was so cautious that he would drive 40 mph in a 55 mph highway. This brings laughs instead of tears.

So sorry to hear about what's been going on with you. Sounds like alot to deal with. Hope things go better for ya. I have Tinnitus too. I had it way back int eh 60's as a young thing but never told anyone cuz I figured they'd think I was going nut. A dr claimed mine was from diabetes but I sure had it many yrs before diabetes. I hear this ssssssss noise in my ears even tho I lived out in the country & would wonder if I was going nuts. Guess I should told some one & maybe I could've gotten treatment sooner. Good luck...

Wow I had fun this morning. As most of you know I'm an AmerAussie and vote in both countries, (voting is compulsory here in OZ)

So we live near a large town called Caboolture, about 15 mins drive north where it is still semi rural. So I went down to the small grade school (where my daughter wentto school) to vote in our state election, (I tell you if my team wins tomorrow). I saw a garage sale sign and went down to the Church (NO not THAT Church) It's one of those little ol' wooden Churches you find out in the country. I got some neat stuff SO cheap thay I had to give them a donation as well. I had fun. I love garage sales and thrift shops thats where I get most of my clothes and prints and frames from (and other doo hickies) I love a bargin and also helping the charities.

I think I'm on a natural high after being low for 4 months. It's a beautiful Autumn morning. 23 degrees C (73F) is the begining of the season here where I live we only get down to about 5 C (41) in July or August but it's enough to have the fire on for a couple of months.

No, I'm not amazing But Fitzy is. The only reason I am able to act like I'm okay is I act like it on the outside as I don't want to go to pieces in front of people but the hurt is inside. Plus I still can't believe it happened. It all seems like a nightmare & he's in the other room watching ball games. Or either it;s like I dreamed my life with him and now I've woke up & it wasn't real. I want him back so bad. Glad things are going better for Louise. Hang in there. More prayers & vibes said & sent...
