I'm so sorry to hear it's not good news. I really do hope for the best outcome this situation can bring.

I remember when I was at the Church and we were chatting, you was telling me the 'story' of how you got your lobster. You told your tale so well I belived it was the truth till someone gave me one and I realized that you were meant to make a story up. I have remembered you being a really great person and hope that if I ever save up enough to bring me and my family over to the church again, then they would be able to meet with you; I hope this will be the case.

We just spoke with Gay and David on the phone. She has been out of the hospital for several days now and is trying to get her "sea legs" back. She is getting around with the help of a quad cane. She is feeling much, much better since surgery to relieve pressure. They both sounded great--loving and upbeat, just like themselves--and they asked us to thank everyone for the notes that you wrote in the thread (sent to them by Judy), and the love that we all sent. They send it back to all and Gay said that she will see us at the Church in October. (Not sure about July; she didn't say.) Blundervibes still needed.

Well, I was planning to call Gay tonight, but around 5:00 this afternoon the phone rang, and it was her! She must have picked up on my "phone" vibes. She sounded great, and very much herself, and she is doing her best to get better, because she really wants to go to Arlo's July Church concerts. That's pretty good inspiration, if you ask me, and combined with all of your wonderful healing vibes being aimed at her, she stands a great chance of being there. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

....Baldwinville's note reminded me of the first time we met......very, very late one night at the ol' Lantern motel after a concert.....in Sue's room with Darlene from Wisconsin and Lisa J from Texas.....you and David knocked on the door and introduced yourselves....we sat around talkin and tellin stories for a long time that night.....
and then you were always there and i was always lookin for you and David....and kept forgettin those pictures that i finally remembered<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif" width=15 height=15>.....
...when i was missin you at the Church a few weeks back, i was takin some photos of the changes in the building....and noticed your beautiful painting of the Church in a great spot right right near the chimney......it's in the photo...i'll be posting the website soon....so you can see it hangin there..

And that's high praise judging from the exchanges I've had with a few of them in postings here and on the Blunderchat. They're all terrific people!

Reg spoke to David while we were in Florida. Glad to hear Gay is feeling better. We will see you at the gigs in July and we're bringing Barley for a visit too.

Well, I was sitting on my couch a little while ago, with my phone in one hand and Gay's business card with her phone # in my other hand, getting ready to give her a call, when the phone rang. I answered it, and who was on the other end but Gay! Talk about tuning into each other's vibes! She sounds great, and she's coming along and moving around with a four-pronged cane, but the surgery has effected her vision some, and she had to get new glasses today. She needs to get used to them, and decided that she is just not quite up to going to the Church concerts this weekend, so we won't be seeing her there. Darn! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/frown.gif" width=15 height=15> She told me in no uncertain terms, "YOU should sit at MY table!!" She didn't say "Now, Kid!", but it was implied, so I guess at one of the shows this weekend, I should try to sit there, and hopefully take some pictures to send her. Her goal now is to make it to the shows in October.

Both Gay and David said once again how much all your notes, cards, good wishes and vibes have meant to them. David says his Mom has lots of good, supportive friends, but the "Guthrie" friends are REALLY special. They send their love and thanks to everyone.
