Wow! Ow! and Wow again!

The Walk today was really successful... I managed to get to the four-mile mark before accepting a ride in one of the microbuses... Aches and all, it was worth the effort!

And the show this afternoon! Arlo opened the show with a few songs (I'll leave setlists to others) then he introduced Don Conoscenti... WOW! I love his music! He admits that he is not fully proficient with the banjo, but his semi-guitar/semi-banjo style of pickin' really does it for me! It's like inventing a new kind of music! After a break, Jimmy LaFave came on... wonderful southern rock/folk fusion... and then, various combinations of performers... Abe looked like he was really having a blast! They finished off with an "all-star" jam on "This Land is Your Land" (Sarah, Johnny and Olivia joined everyone up on stage... and I'm looking forward to the picture I know Larry took of the family, harmonizing with Grampa Arlo)

And what makes it all so much more special... Jimmy announced that the HD Walk and the proceeds from the show totaled $21,000 to help find the cure for HD! Thanks to EVERYONE who helped in any way!

(BTW - I also finally got to meet RB... we talked a bit about the book club... get ready for another attempt!)
