weather is gorgeous on the island today, and I'm sure it's just as fine in the berks (dammit!)
apparently, I wasn't able to scoot out this morning and bop up to the church as I had hoped i might... and more's the pity that I won't be able to stop off in Kent CT on my way home... nor get my fix of apples and pumpkins at the fine store down the road from the church.
sometimes you just can't do what ya wanna do...

I'm sure the tailgate will be enjoyed by many.
And if they're lucky, they won't be drinkin' canadian pisswasser

Oh, Arnie, another missed opportunity to go to The Church in Oct. Have you "ever" made it? You weren't able to come the year I was there, 99, but I bought a book for you and had Arlo arlograph it and had people sign a sheet of paper saying hi.... do you still have the book? :)

Wish you coulda been there (wish I coulda been there, but...) :(

Maybe next year, huh??

yes, still got my book, my arlograph, my sheet of blunderwishes too!
I even pull it out once in a blue moon.
and yes, amazingly i have been up to the church in october, and even went to a show or two since '99. Usually when I go in October, i bring a cold or some other ailment with me... This year I felt just great! But other events conspired against me, even on such a beautiful day as it was.
Can't cry over missed opportunities...

There's always tomorrow, eh?

(btw: I took care of your "double" vision)

did anyone else notice yesterday, the halo-like rainbow (huge) around the sun with four star effects around it like a compass?
i wondered if they would talk about it on the news and the meteorologist said it was a rare thing to see and that it was caused by ice crystals in the atmosphere.

ooohhhh that sounds awesome!

Of course you'd have to be in the right place, at the right time, to see it.... I missed out, but I see it in my mind's eye!

They told us here that on last Sunday 26th, the biggest solar flare ever recorded was happening and to be prepared for stuff like dolphins and whales becoming disorientated and power surges and stuff like that.

I think that can also be caused be either what is known as "The Dirty Bong effect" or the jack daniels effect". Either way, it's good. :)
