Agreed - but geeks can be dangerous, you know... So does that mean you got it to work? If not, could you temporarily disable your firewall and give it a try? I'd be willing to bet that has something to do with it. The chat client is an actual java program that runs in your browser - just like aol im or any other chat client - so a firewall or certian (M$) anti-spyware software may give it a hard time. If so, you will have to give java (and possibly IE) special permissions in the firewall config. What kind of firewall is it?

Nope! Still ain't workin'. Disabled firewall, changed firewall to allow java, dumped cache files, dumped temp files, etc., etc., etc. Thanks for the efforts, but I think I'm done with it until (or if) a nice, simple chatroom comes along that you can just click onto and start typin'.

sigh.. for me it works as a simple, click and start typing chat...

Wondering how many of us use either aol instant messenger (AIM) or Yahoo instant messenger.... we could do chats that way with up to about 20 people.... but I do like this chat if somehow it would work for people!
