Glad you're back home Rob, and here again, after these two months, so painful, in hospital.
Keep getting better

Off to PT. I wish I had more energy. Seems the wk end zapped me.

* yeah len: wishing i had of horded some of Hepburns drugs. lol . I could use a few Dilaudid. But then again, I am getting better ( drs. prognoisis) so I suppose it's time to change that mindset. Like hugs are better than drugs. I'll have to take a visit upstairs when I finish my out-patient PT today. The women upstairs are much better looking, and I'm the worlds biggest flirt. Ya know your getting older, when you want to impress a woman with a new cane.......

* in all seriousness, I'm sure they'll be surprized, I've come this far. I was wheeling around in a walker when I left that place two wks ago. A cane seems much more masculine.

Thought for the day

RB

Hey Rob, hope all goes well with your PT. And canes are always distinguished and gentlemanly accessories for men our age, whether we need them or not!!!

I agree, a cane is much sexier and debonair than a walker! Keep up the great work on your PT, soon you'll be dancing with that cane!

All you need is a top hat, like Leon!

Rob, keep working that cane bit. After all, look what the "steek" did for Jeff Dunham's character, Jose Jalapeno (on a steek). He gets all the women!

Hey! I had nothing to do with that! I was drinkin' Spaten Oktoberfest, cuttin' firewood and pickin' up leaves all weekend, not necessarily in that order.

And canes are cool. Sherlock Holmes, Doctors Watson & House, the evil Lucius Malfoy (from Harry Potter) and Bat Masterson (Gene Barry) all used 'em. I've got one with a compass, a sundial and a hidden "flask tube" that I keep filled with (or keep emptying of) Yukon Jack. I think need one with a bigger reservoir!

Uh, oh! I thought it was a bong! Hey! There's an idea ... a walking bong! Actually, my Sweetie gave me a walking stick that's also a flute that she got some years back at The Big E (Eastern States Exposition). In fact, I believe this is the place that made it, in Stockbridge, MA! Small world, er ... state ....er town.

If the bong is walking the bowl be talking. Righteous!

I thought he was keeping the band orderly. Or self-defense. Or if one more yahoo yelled "ALICE!! THE NEW YORK FREEWAY IS CLOSED!!!"

I get that way about Freebird and Sweet Home Whatta Bummer.

len: lovely video. some familiar faces, with great smiles upon them. visiting the church next yr. will be so extra special, under the circumstance.

Zap: Don't mention the thank you card. Least I could do, for all you showered down on me. I've actually been reading them all this past wk. as mentally I'm more up to it. But you may be right. I did tell Sue the other day, as I was filling out cards when she left for work, and still doing it when she came home for lunch. Quote UnQuote: Dear I think I'm getting writer's cramp..... ( true story )..... nah, the cards would be cheap, if all my friends lived in the states. I have to write really small, when addressing postage stamps to Germany.... :-)

JUDY: That's a great idea. I'll be shopping for a long tall Top Hat.... I have a collection of hats, and I'm onto the wintery stuff now that it's getting cold. But I think I could pull off a younger Leon Russell. Do you think concert goers might get irrate, if I sit in the second row, with my Leon Russell Top Hat on.... ( I don't mind getting ushered to the side )

ntm: I always think I have great seats to a show, untill some dude that's 6'4" with bushy hair sits right smack in front of me. I guess that's why I've learned to mingle at shows....

* I found it funny (odd) that allot of people were surprized I came home with all my hair. I guess they thought that Drs. would automatically chop it off, when it got in the way. Sue said the only person that bitched about it, was a neurologist's nurse, when I was seizing, and she had to stick the 100 some gluey stick on things to my scalp. The nurses were washing crazy glue outta my hair for wks.....

***Time to go ck out my stash. I must have some good schedule #2 narcotics, from all the drugs I horded the last few mnths.... Fentenyl patch and some Ativan.... That should do it...... ( If only that nurse knew all I needed was to make one phone call..... But I wasn't in that mode, wondering all the variables... ntm: Before I could walk, Sue would always hide the phone......
