In other news, I'm still hanging -- still by the skin of my teeth, but hanging. I've not been gotten rid of yet by the forces of darkness, although they sure are committed to my destruction. But then, that's the forces of darkness for you ... (You'd think after 20 years the statute of limitations would have run out or something ...)

As for me, I still miss being a musician. I never would have believed that of all things, my music could have been taken from me. Y'know?

Eh,well.

In other commentary, I still get the distinct feeling that I must've scared Arlo or someone half to death at some point, although God knows, it wasn't my intention. If I did, I apologize for doing so. Unlike certain folk I could name around Woodstock, I know the line that shouldn't get crossed, and never have done.

My personal relationship with Someone Else came about because I'd made it into the Big Time as a vocalist and percussionist, and happened to be a part of that reality. He initiated it, though. I wouldn't have. That was back in the early 80's in D.C., and I'd worked my way up the old fashioned way: I apprenticed in professional theater throughout my teens, and practiced, practiced, practiced ...

IOW, the 60's was a long time ago even back then, and in spite of my previous propensity for letter writing, which was a whole different thing.

Anyway, all that said, there's one more thing:

Anybody happen to catch Conan O'Brien last night with guest Al Gore discussing the Bob Dylan concert he had recently attended? Conan had attended also. Then, musical guest Bruce Springsteen "The Boss" and the E Street Band came on and did "Kitty's Back" and "Merry Christmas Baby." They had the house a ROCKIN' !!!
