Slim Pickens & Dr. Baz. Slim's been known to do a Woody cover or two. Slim's the one that gave me an infamous Woody one liner. Parphrasing. "You throw down a hat, lean up against a fence and start playing. If someone throws $$ in the hat, your a certified musician.

* I had some photo's of Richy's studio, but the images were too large to put them on here Cheryl. ntm: My scanner is broken. If I happen to make it over this wk. I have to talk to Richy about burning some C.D.'s We had just got into allot of recording before my accident. His Studio has grown so much in the last yr. My older photo's wouldn't really to it justice. He's selling allot of guitars, and he's the only one in town that sells strings. I'm very happy for him, as his business is thriving.

** I'll see what I can do tho Cheryl. Don't say I didn't warn ya. lol

Richy's other band, has never sounded finer. Went to a party, about a mnth. ago, and they've come a long way. Richy's a hell of a guitar player, but he always hated singing. Sometime last winter, I convinced him, I needed him on the chorus's.... And he's singing more than ever these days. He's certainly gotten over his stagefright. My wife's brother Brian plays drums,, and back up vocals... They do Neil Young really good. Which makes me smile as I taught them most of those songs....

I think the best part of my playing was my style. I have owl talon's tied with raw-hide, stickers on my guitar ( John & Reg Gave me. The Lion reminds me of the one in that ol Arlo Poster) . AND the original pricetag was still attached. Someone by the name of Young, had renigged on the guitar after making a down py mt. So I got a really good deal on it. On the back of the pricetag, was written in sharpie, YOUNG. So I'd tell people Neil signed it. I brings a laugh, and naivety in people. I didn't kill the owl btw. A car in front of us, hit it and killed it. So I took it's talons, so it could live on in my music... Something you'd have to see, to appreciate.

Rb, I am so glad that you are back here and doing so well. Is your flower garden around the house still in bloom? I still have that picture in my head that you once posted with your house and the beautiful flowers.
All the best to you and your family
Brigitte

Cool. We were both playing some old Alice Cooper at the same time a while back. It just struck me as weird that two people were practicing a pretty obscure song at the same time.

It's a cool September morning, and I got lots of sleep
Waking to house that's still awakening
The smell of coffee's in the air
And my neighbors are not there
So the river is my friend for the moment

Years they come and go, and we all wonder why
Where does the time fly by like a freightrain
When your young and dumb you think you live forever
But that's just the pipe dream if your young.

I can dream of a tommorro, that doesn't let me down
Days of wine and roses
But untill my time has come, I'll be thinkin of what'd I'd done
And the people that all came, when I need them.

Oh let it be, let the sun shine down on me
Let all my tommorro's be so sunny
Yes let it shine, like the grapes upon the vine
And the children talk in rhyem
Like there's no tommorro.

Yes let it be, as the peaches on a tree
And pass the pipe, untill we see
That our future's not here, it is tommorro. ( stole that last line from Dylan)

That is beautiful! As far as the last line goes, I don't think you can steal the truth.

What Gus and Zap said!!! Lots of cool imagery.......It may mean something different to me than what you were feeling when you created it.......and that's how it should be. In any case, it makes me feel good inside on many levels; the most striking is that I am sooooo happy that you are writing. You seem to be recovering well physically (miraculously), and now I see that your inner recovery, emotionally and spiritually, is moving positively. This makes me feel really happy for you Rob, and for me too :D Love to Sue......Peace, Kevin
