Happy birthday, Stephanie! I'm late, but then it's never too late for chonklit! Also, tomorrow we're going to try to elect the right (as in correct) guy in honor of your birthday--it's the least we can do.

...and choklit I had! A buddy & I watched the movie "Chocolat" (Johnny Depp...yum!) Before hand, we went and loaded up on "on sale" Halloween candy and invested in some Dove with 71% Cacao. She blew her diet for this night. Whadda pal! :D

The day after I was born, LBJ was elected.

Yesterday, my phone rang...I answered and heard "Hi...this is Bill Clinton" I yelled that I was married...really married, not sorta married and that I could define that if need be...and hung-up!

I admit, I'm nervous about this historic election, but feel certain the right guy is going to prevail, still sending up lots of Prayers that he will do right by US!

Now that's a perfect Texan birthday--the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame AND the Stagecoach Inn.

The only thing missing was the smell of a stockyard.

I know exactly what you mean; it brings back childhood sensations for me, too. We'll be getting that back soon, when the wind blows from the southwest. (The new Dubya home will be about 10 miles southwest of us).

Thanks Hon! It doesn't matter what we wear our crowns for! What matters is that we look Maaaavolus in them! :D Believe me...you own an extra one just for style alone! 8)

I won a crown when I was a kid, by my folks each time I misbehaved. Recently I was given a free crown when I went to Burger King

LOL Are you serious ?? How cool is that!!!! I always wanted one when I was a kid. It didn't seem to be happening, so I used some Birthday/Christmas money to buy a small tiara. My parents thought I was nuts to spend the money on that, but it's what I wanted. I still have it, somewhere. Not that I got to wear it a lot :?

Oh no that was only a joke, I never got a crown from BK only the "Mom and Dad's helping hand type"....I never wanted a crown because I did not think of myself as a cute kid, I never got any popularity in school. Being a kid is the most difficult part of growing up in the form of facial changes that make you unattractive. I am only expressing my own humble opinion.

Indeed, the tween/teen years are not for the squimish. 13 was the worst! The acne..the bitching and crying and not knowing why....body changes. Dealing with others who had no clue or had forgotten what it was like.

Hey...we earned these crowns!
(Ironically, that's what my name means. It's Greek and means Crown.)

In spite of what we had to go through.....we shine like diamonds now, Babe! 8)
