Hi and thanks to everyone for your birthday wishes. I had a wonderful weekend on a roadtrip to south-central NM. A friend Carole from work and I visited the Trinity Site at White Sands Missile Range. It's only open 2 days a year to visitors. We're reading a book about it (The Day the Sun Rose Twice) in my NM History class, so it was perfect timing.

It was bitter cold at 8 AM, waiting in line to be escorted by MPs onto the site. The winds were blowing and gusting... and was really cold! But we had a great time. And brownies! Didn't get any "trinitite" tho cos it was too expensive at the local rock shop.
