Also there in spirit ... in person next year, though.

TO ALL WHO MEET SHELLEY AND JAY (and even though they'll probably be mad at me, but will hopefully forgive me next year): If you want to hear one of the most romantic, loving stories you've ever heard, get them to tell you their story. It's better than any romantic movie I've seen ... love lost and found. I love these two, and I'm sure you all will too.

To Shelley and Jay: You've got a day to compose your story and a whole year to get over being mad at me for telling folks to ask about it. Love ya!

looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it...and missing those that can't.

We went to the church yesterday and all of you were there in spirit. I could feel it. Wow. Found our names on the plaques. That, appropriately, is so far the most lasting record of our sojourn on Turtle Island.

Pat, it does, indeed, feel like home right away. (Especially upon connecting with Sherry and Ken, but even before, it just did.) We have a digital camera and a digital camcorder; not equipped for Webcam (HA!), but give us a little time after getting home, and we'll have LOTS of pixs to share. Blundervibes to you and Bob.

Pat R.: The quilt is, indeed, on the balcony railing, and it is amazing. Beautiful! Got pix of it yesterday. Thinking of your mom, and continuing prayers and vibes for you two.

BuffaloGal, I'm sorry we won't be able to meet this time. Next time. I would have enjoyed talking about your trip in more detail. When we do both get here, maybe we can discuss some of those Hillerman books.

Cheryl, it just won't be the same without you!

Bobbi, thanks for sharing your pix with us; we'll soon return that favor. The varigated hosta is here, didn't see the green one. Everything looks very nice at the church. It is so GREEN up here!!! (Except the trees that are turning gold and red.) The 183 up here is mucho preferable to the one at home. So are a lot of other things...

Lynyrd, I haven't seen too many "outdoor pets" as in wildlife; probably they know the leaf peepers are moving in. But we saw horses and cows while driving with Ken and Sherry. I think it was the horses I was missing most; at home, in the country, it's hard NOT to see some. Ken did take us to a pond with a beaver house right in the middle; we'll be going back in hopes of seeing the occupants.

Wyld, The trees are beautiful! Can't wait to see you on Saturday! Larry, no pews but lots of chairs, and I think I saw one with "Larry" on it! Arnie, cinnamon buns definitely a thought. Deb, I'm looking forward to Saturday sooo much.

Pam, Next year you must come. Must. Oh, and btw, .

Shelley

What plaques? How'd your names get there?

Shelly, I will read at least one during Winter break, seeing's how my break doesn't coincide with the kids' break.... unfortunatley, I'm way behind in my history class with a test coming up next week. I'd love to spend the weekend doing nothing by sitting in bed reading... no hubby, no kids, no TV, no phone, no internet....

But, I have to teach an ALL DAY class tomorrow (I need the money or else I'd say find someone else). On Sunday, well, I'll be in NYC (not my most favorite place), so there goes my weekend. Of course, once I get home from teaching I usually need to sleep a few hours (maybe I'll start studying around midnight?).

Thanks for reminding me tho.... I DO need to get cracking on those Hillermans.

Terrie

Terrie,
The plaques on the wall listing the names of people who contributed (even small contributions like ours) toward buying the church. There were times I wondered if I'd ever be in the church.

Your schedule is too daunting to imagine! I do hope you find some time for Terrie here and there.

Shelley

Nathen, you are knowledgable in the ways of the hobo, and there are train tracks that run right through the middle of the tailgate party on Sunday. Food for thought.

Arlo told me about the plaques once. I'd love to see them sometime & the quite & the Stained Glass window & everything else. Have fun at the revival folks! Now is the same to save your soul.

Time for Terrie? It's ALL for Terrie... and it will pay off in the end when I get back out to the "reservation" to teach. I'm in for the long haul and I'm stressed to the max. I just had to cancel my AOL account 'cos I don't have the 4 hours to volunteer anymore, and I cannot afford to PAY for their service. Too many changes, but I know in the end it'll all be worth it.

Thanks,
Terrie
