Beverley, maybe this will help. The American pound sign is #. So glad Baby Arlo is okay!

I'd like to add a blundervibe request to this thread, please.

My grandmother (88 years old) has had a very bad spell and was in the hospital. They're returning her to the nursing home saying "We've done all we can, it's now only a matter of time."

Please send blundervibes--I, of course, wish for her to rally and be her sweet self. On the other hand, if she's really ready to go (which she said she is, but that could have been illness talking), then I want for her a quick and peaceful passing. She's refusing to eat, which is not a good sign. We're hoping that when she's back among her friends she'll be decide to be with us a while longer.

I'm babbling, I know. Just found out and am a little teary and depressed right now.

Pam, I know just what you're going through, not knowing really what you want to wish for; my dad's in a similar situation. My wish for both of them (and anyone else in this situation) is for a nice, painless, calm reunion with all who went before them.

Pam, I feel for you & all of your loved ones at this time. This is never an easy thing, to face.
I went through this similar situation w/my grandma, & also my daddy.
You want what's best for your grandmother, & may you all find peace in whatever these difficult & trying days/weeks ahead hold for your family.
You will remain in my best thoughts. And am sending Healing, Soothing, Calming, Helpful, & most importantly Loving Vibes, to you & your grandmother, and all of the lives she's touched.
Your Blunderbuddie, Ruth

Pam and Terrie, Our hearts go out to you and your families. We are praying for full recoveries for those so dear to you.

We have had to say so long to both of Chucks parents, and many other friends and relatives in the last few years. We know there is never a time when we are ready to let go of our loved one. But during our last days with them when and only when we were sure there was no chance for a return to the quality of life we wished for them we remembered and were inspired by the story of Arlo calling Todd in his final hours. I don't know the exact words he said but from what I understand he expressed his love and gave him permision to go. It is such a hard thing to do but I truely believe this is one of the biggest gifts we can give our loved ones when the time comes.

In Chuck's Dads final days Chuck took his frail hand and told him how lucky he was to have had such a wonderful dad, and because of the fine job he had done we would all be fine and he could go be with those waiting for him on the other side knowing his time here was well served. It was hard but there was such relief a few days later when we saw the pain leave his body and we knew he was finaly at peace.

Our thought and prayers are with you and we wish your loved ones a joyous trip home when their time comes. And for you and your families we wish the healing peace that comes with time and happy memories of all the good times past and all that will come when you meet again.

BIG LOVE,
Chuck and Connie
