Peaceful? No, I got up early--for a Saturday--'cos I had to take my car for an oil change, then I went to the bank, then I worked out, then I came home for a bit, had lunch, and then I had to go to work! I don't usually work on weekends, but every once in a while they have special events we have to show up for, which is what happened today. Guess I'll have a peaceful evening, though, and I have half a peanut butter moose-filled chocolate cupcake left over from last night (It was big enough for a moose, so I only ate half) to treat myself to after dinner, so that will be a good start.

Didn't realize it been that long. It seems like only yesterday. So sad. I understand there are floods up in the Pittsburgh area so I hope Joe & the other blundcerites up that way are safe too & anyone else near floods & hurricanes. Vibes to all...

We're fine here, thanks. The only inconvenience for me was a 2-hour bus trip home on Fri. (It's usually 30 minutes.) We closed the office at 4:00, so I wasn't home too late. I live on top of a high hill located on top of another high hill, so if I have flood problems here, every one of you reading this will be in big trouble. The flooding hit the northern suburbs hard. My sister lives there & couldn't get home from work, so she turned around & stayed with my brother Sting who you know. I don't want anybody to think, however, that the folks here in the 'Burgh are complaining; having some rain after a hurricane is better than having the hurricane hit here.

this is to make joe happy...
my son just celebrated his 21st birthday weekend by taking a road trip with a few of his friends. First stop was West Virginia, where they watched WV beat Maryland (Go TERPS!), and since the weather was so good, they all headed right over to Pittsburgh to catch the Mets beating the Pirates yesterday. They're on their way back to UMD now, sunburnt(!!) and a little bit older, not much wiser, but alot happier I suspect!
