Pam, I am so sorry. The vibes for healing for Gini and strength for her family (and you) are going out. After we talked, John told me your news about Gini, so the vibes have been going all day. Keep us posted, please.

My friend passed away about 4:00 a.m. today. She had suffered irreversible damage and her husband made the very hard decision to not continue life support. Knowing Gini, I am certain this was the right decision.

When we spoke eariler this week, I told Bruce about the wonderful people on this site and that many prayers were being said for Gini and her family. He sends his thanks, as do I.

tonight i light a candle for my father's first yartzeit*, and I'll add an extra thought for your friend pam. She's in good company ya' know.

The Yahrtzeit is observed annually on the Jewish date of death. When death occurs after sunset, it is the following day that is used to calculate the Yahrtzeit. When three or more days have elapsed from the day of death until the interment, the first Yahrzeit is observed on the anniversary of the interment. On all subsequent years it is observed on the anniversary of the death. The Yahrtzeit begins at sunset on the preceeeding day and is concluded at sunset of the day of death. During the observance of the Yahrtzeit, a memorial Yahrtzeit candle is kept burning and the Mourner's Kaddish is recited during services in the Synagogue.

Pam, so sorry about your friend. I lost a good friend to a brain aneurism seven years ago, so I know something about what you're feeling right now. Prayers and vibes are on the way to you and everyone.
