Well I,m happy rb has returned home ..thoughts and blundervibes to Rob,,,,and the other blunderites/families friends in need of em.

Wondering is adg drinking chilled beer or the room temperature on tap stuff over there?!?!?! Man I could never drink warm beer.

But Sparky, speaking from personal experience, room temperature in England is maybe 60 Fahrenheit. There's a reason people wear tweed coats all the time. And the publican keeps the kegs in the cellar so now we're talking 50s F. Never quite mentally converted to Celsius even though a Swede came up with it.

And when you brew beer from malt, hops, water, and yeast (as opposed to what they do in the US with rice and sugar and flavorings and CO2) you don't need to hide the flavor by freezing it.

Kurts right sparky, if you get hold of Real ale , independant glass bottled or wooden keged beer it tast just as good warm as it does cold.

Hehehe well Cdn. beer is less watery then the USA stuff,not much of a drinker myself,when i do though I prefer COLD.Perfect temp. for me is when its been swimming in a cooler of ice/water...The only european beer I,ve tried has been the dark stuff,warm,yuck!!! LOL
I,ve tried Corona and some like it "Del sol"?!?! that sure did go down nice on a hot day after being in the cooler

zap!! after reading your post i laughed for about a half hour before i could function properly. i do believe you are right...i was to the point of distraction, when i was caught off guard by the, "hi, i'm bob dylan..." and the lilt in his voice, and i do remember the mention of golden protest music and i thought it was the funniest thing ever and i wondered what is he doing?? funny i couldn't decide whether it was him or not...for some reason i had no choice but to believe it (sorry if i missed some key clues, but i was off someplace else at the same time doncha know)
i thought he was acting up like arlo.

Saw a Doco on TV last night about Bear Mt commune in Cal., which started in the late 60's.They said that they had asked performers like Zappa and The Monkees to donate money to them since these performers were making money off "our lifestyle".

Wonder if they ever hit on adg for money at the time?? Did any of you ever visit there??

Peter Coyote was the only well known person on the doco who had lived there. They described it as a place where "some people came and left straight away and others where asked to leave and stayed for years!

Yeah, that was a pretty funny album, although some of it may have crossed some people's lines of good taste.

I remember Radio Dinner! "Joan Baez" singing " ... just across the bay ... " Jay "got" me with that, playing it as I walked into his apartment and laughing as I slowly realized what the lyrics really were. They're not printable here.

Definitely not politically correct! That's one that they were pushin' the envelope on. Funny if you realized it was a spoof on Joan, racist if you misinterpreted it (which was real easy to do on that one). I think my favorite was the "Catch It and You Keep It" game show where they threw prizes off of the top floor of a broadcast building to contestants below! "The year's supply of Gaines dog food created quite a stir!" or the Samsonite luggage suitcase that secretly contained "...not one, not two, but three solid gold bars!.....this baby's gonna carry quite a load!"

I sure hope things are going good for our folkslinger. The changes in airport rules have got to have made things more of a hassle for a tour. The way things are going, it's getting to the point where you ship your stuff to the destination and you climb on a plane with a clear plastic bag of documents. Nuthin else, just a clear plastic bag of documents. Makes the draft board seem like a overdressed event.
