You & I should quit the prediction business. The Yankees don't surprise me, but I'm absolutley shocked about Seattle! This isn't the same Mariner team I've been watching all year.

The Indians' pitcher, Sabathia, didn't surprise me today, however. I had seats behind home on Father's Day when the Pirates beat him, 1-0. He threw hard & had an unbelievable change-up that day.

This postseason is REALLY tough to call & it's gonna be fun.

Jason Giambi is a free agent after this season. He'd sure look great in a Pirates uniform.

Hey...I can dream, can't I? That's what the offseason is for.

Hey, Sis, I was looking at those links again. As for the video offer, the best quality video available is thru Rare SportsFilms, Inc. located in---what a coincidence---Napersville, IL!!! I've been dealing with the owner, Doak (forgot his last name) for a couple of years now.

Hey, Todd, the AL play-offs have returned to a state of normalcy. The Yanks & Mariners will be hosting the deciding games tomorrow. It's gonna be interesting--and a NY-Seattle LCS could be great.

Jason Giambi is the A's firstbaseman. His brother, Jeremy, is an outfielder. Both are good players, but Jason is far superior; he batted .342 with 38 homers & 120 RBIS's this year.

His contract is up after this season. Somehow he's p'd off at the A's & said he'll test the free agent market. Previosuly, he said he'd take less $$ to stay there. The Giants really want him if they can't re-sign Bonds.

But, boy, I'd love to have him here. Supposedly, we're gonna build around lefthanded batters & pitchers, with our short RF fence. More realistically, I'd be happy to see the Pirates make a push to get 'Burgh native Sean Casey from the Reds.

Not yet! (LOL) Why? Who knows? Probably the same reason why many New Yorkers have never been to the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building.

I have seen the Henry Frick art collection, however, & there was a lot of cool stuff there. I don't know why I was there, as I've never been a Frick fan. My daughter had to write a paper on him once, & the only books I had on him unflatteringly described his role in the 1892 Homestead Steel Strike. (From where I'm sitting now, I coulda heard the cannon fire from Homestead.) She really trashed him!!!! It was great!!
