No I haven't seen Penelope perform and I don't know her just what I've read on her site. She is one of those great artists who when you go to the average record store and ask someone "Do you have any Penelope Swales they look at you quizicaly (is that a word?) and say "Arlo" OOps! I mean "Penelope who??" Then you go down to the basement(my favourite part)where the second hand C.D.s and Albums are and a cool (and young even)cat says "Yeah, I know her try under S in that section over there". Then to REALLY test him I asked, "Hey, you got any Woody or Arlo??".. "Not at the moment but just check under G" Makes you feel hope for the next generation.... A Blunder moment!!

Tues we went to this Dulcimer store in Waverly, OH that is run by this man whose on a dulcimer e-mail list I am on. We've been every yr the past few yrs & he & his wife who run the place are really nice. Had fun trying out dulcimers & autoharps & a bowed psaltry & an angle harp. We happened to mention arlo to him & he just happens to like Arlo too & woody too. amamzing where you can find blunderites at. Well he said he used to know how to play both sides of the ALICES album. Evidently on dulcimer. Can ya picture Arlo playing ALICES on mountain dulcimer for 18 minutes? Go for it Arlo! <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15> Anyway if your out that way you'll want o check them out. Prussia Valley Dulcim shop on Rt 23. Got some more strings for my canjo & some dulcimer & autoharp magazines...

The sun is out over here now they have all gone back to school! hope it's nice where you all are.

I'd be happy to give you a cheese reading Louise. And, the best part is, I work cheap.....my only fee is that I get to eat the cheese after the reading.

My kids are back at school and I seem to be spending more time here than getting my house back in order. Ah, life is grand. How does the saying go? "A clean house is a sign of a misspent life"...

I may drive out to G.B. next week and wander around the center -- just 'cause I can. I like to absorb all the goodness within, remember my last time there and look forward to the next. I like school a lot better now than when I was in it!

the Troubadour Series , and it's gonna be GREAT! Friday we'll have Tom Pacheco and Saturday it's The Highwaymen They are gonna be terrific shows, and I know there are stills eats available for both!

I'll be doing kitchen duty, so if you do get there, make sure you find me!

Anybody who's in the area will definitely wanna see the original Highwaymen. I saw 'em 2 years ago & loved 'em.
