Bev, how do you put hooks on pinecones?

Wyld, your directions were so hilarious. But instead of eggnog, I'll stick to my gatorade.

The tree is tiny, like me... 5 feet.I never knew to do the lights first.

Thanks to everyone who offered ideas and suggestions.

Arnie, when my 2 oldest kids were little, they each has a miniature menorah from Israel... but once the store where I bought them closed, I was never able again to find the mini candles for them. Suffice it to say, little Michael doesn't have his own menorah.

No matter how hard I tried to remember, I'd forget one night or another to light the main menorah. Eventually, I stopped buying candles for the large one altogether.

We used to invite our neighbors' kids for the candle-lighting and gift exchange. The kids loved the chocolate gelt and dreidles. Now the kids are grown and aren't interested. At least they haven't been in years and years. I wonder what they'd do if I attempted to relive the old days and go out and buy all that stuff again... just my kids of course, not the neighbors' anymore, except maybe their 3 littlest ones.

Thanks, Arnie.... by telling everyone this, I just made a decision to go to the store and stock up on gold-gelt and dreidles!

As for the latkes, they always gave me indigestion and stunk up the house for days... worse than cooking fish! Maybe blintzes... cherry, with sour cream.

I know it's not morning Here or there, but I just noticed I got asked a question and if I wait till morning I would forget to answer it, having had slept <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Terry, you don't put hooks on to pine cones, tie a small legnth of Cotton around the bottom, and hang it that way.

Hope you are all having fun with you decorating.
