Many of you met Eric at The Church 5 years ago when we volunteered in the kitchen and he parked cars. More of you know Michael. This is a story about Eric and Michael. Both are "gifted kids" which means high IQ but not a whole lot of "common sense." They are "challenging."

Eric noticed that Corey (my daughter) had a large bottle of bath beads in the upstairs bathroom. They were green and very tiny, like Dip 'n Dots. He thought it would be a good idea to pour some into the palm of his hand and crush them to see how they smelled. MMM, they smelled good... so...

He went downstairs to tell Corey he liked them. "Those bath beads you've got smell really good."

"Yeah," said Michael, "but they taste like crap!"

When I was a kid, my mother did in fact wash out my mouth with soap when I used salty language a couple of times. It's nice to see kids nowadays are more independent and take these things upon themselves.

But remember, this kid DOES have a blunderite for a mother, so how could he NOT do weird stuff?
