Lorie,

Don't think we've ever met in person, but listen sweetie, we all need each other. From my experience, there is always time to start anew. And the folks here are a supportive, loving, accepting group, even if we all tend to be a few ants short of a picnic. So, go and discover that you are, indeed, welcome. In this crazy world we all need each other.

One of my favorite movie quotes comes from the movie "Witness" With Harrison Ford.

As John Book is leaving, the Grandpa says "You be careful out there among them English"

You don't have to be too careful here, just "careful out there among them non-Blunderites!" :D (You won't find a "non" at The Church)

Kev, that's what drew me to her as well. Her site was filled with Blasts from my past. I still tease her a bit about how long it takes to load, :D but soooooo worth the wait! I adore her sparkle! :D

I don't know what "dust-up" you are talking about, Lorie, but you be here on the boards or at the Church whenever you feel like it. Please, come be part of the family.

I mean, look at Larry! He's the sometimes online host of a Blundered and twisted version of Jeopardy. How weird is that? If he tried doin' that anywhere else folks would shun him. Small children would run away in fear and terror (They may do that anyway, but that's beside the point), his relatives would disown him and Republicans (no offense, Cherryl H.!)would think that he would make a good Vice Presidental candidate (Well, he'd have to have moose shootin' added to his resume and marry a guy called "first dude"for that. But the boy can wink! I've seen him! Have him throw in a few cliched lines like "Joe Six-pack" or "consorts with known terrorists" and he'd be a shoe in!). But that's not the worst of it. The rest of us weirdos actually play it! We flock to his twisted game like skunks to a compost heap! Weirder still!

[/quote]

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my friend Captain Zap for appointing me the poster child of weird. It's been a long strange journey, and many people in my family and others never thought that I would amount to much in life, but I've made it. This may just be one of the highpoints of my entire life. I mean an Oscar, a Grammy, a Nobel prize would all pale in comparison to this moment for me if I were ever to be awarded any of them. Oh gosh, I'm getting all teary eyed now.
I may now also be inspired to get Blunder Jeopardy up and rolling again soon.

So, anyway, Lorie...Kid! Go to the shows and have fun! You wanna see Arlo and people wanna see you! And for whatever reason you think you might not "fit in" in some way, remember that we are in fact a community OF and FOR misfits! I mean, I mean, I mean....the church is like "The Island of Misfit Toys" in that classic " Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" animation! Misfits fit well together! It's the non-misfits that don't! The non-misfits do stuff like goose stepping, voting for George Bush, looking at Russia from their house, and dancing to disco.

Lorie, please go. And then tell me here about it. I want some sparkling smilies escorting the story. You are such a creative person. I am counting on you to give and receive all the hugs not only for yourself but for me too. And eat some peace cookies and let me know how they tasted.
Love and Peace
Brigitte
