Sorry I've been off so long. I've really been missing my blunder friends here. OMG! Dave, the new look is fantastic! Since I've been AWOL I've had 3 family funerals, have been working 10 hour days with a long commute on each end and I got a stupid recumbent bicycle I've been trying to ride every night. It is so interfering with my blunder life! But, I'm going to be having bariatric bypass surgery and I have to prove I deserve it. There's a whole lot of hoops to jump through. But tonight I decided to visit Arlonet and skip the bicycle. I've been too lonely.

For everyone who has sent blunder vibes for my daughter, they are working! Even though she is 6 months pregnant and hasn't had her 1st prenatal visit, she did qualify for MediCal and pregnancy seems to really agree with her! She had to go off her anxiety meds, but I haven't seen her so normal since she was a 1st grader. She actually likes me and talks to me, just like a regular person! Before this I never knew when I was going to say the wrong thing and make her upset. The rules changed every hour. But last week I took her to a MediCal appointment, then I asked her if she had any other errands to run. She said she wanted to go look at pregnancy and baby books. Next thing I know we're standing in Barns and Noble looking at books together and talking about them! And she never got offended once. She never said I was being too loud, laughing too much or being embarrassing either. Hell, I bought her 4 books. I would have bought her the whole store. It was like a MasterCard commercial. "Trip to the bookstore with your pregnant daughter $75.00. Actually having fun, Priceless." . She's been afraid to get excited about the baby until she knew he or she is OK. I knew she was far enough along that we should be able to start feeling him any day. So, I offered to try to help her feel the baby move when I took her home. When I dropped her off I had forgotten because that would so not happen in nonpregnant world, but she said, "Aren't you coming in to help me feel my baby move?" I was so there. I fiddled around with her uterus through her tummy until I could feel where the baby was, jiggled him around a little to wake him up, then pushed him into a corner so that when he moved I would be able to feel him against my hand and could tell her. Once she knew what she was feeling for she said in the next 3 days the baby started moving around like crazy. Now I'm aloud to be excited about being a grandma out of the closet! Wooooo Hoooo!!! She wanted a book on baby names, and I bought it for her, but I'm still rooting for Arlo if this baby is a dude. When I brought it up for like the 5th time (I wanted her to know I wasn't just joking around about it) she only gently chided me for brining it up so many times. I don't even know what kind of explosion that may have caused in nonpregnant world. I bought her an oldie but a goodie Spiritual Midwifery, one of my favorite books of all time. Then, as if I was in a dream, she agreed to have me come over a couple of times to do some guided relaxation and show her husband how to help her practice contractions! I am so not kidding! Never, Ever underestimate the power of blundervibes!!! I couldn't talk her into a home birth though. But I'm cool with that. We just have to have a really good birth plan and go to the right hospital if we want to avoid giving birth as though childbirth was a disease. (While I've been AWOL I attended a wonderful home water birth where the mom delivered her own baby.) Sorry for such a long post but I'm just "pregnant" with news. If anyone would like to send some more prayer and bludervibes our way, the public defender said it might help keep my son in law stay out of prison if he and my daughter are attending marriage counseling. The argument would be that he would be better off with my daughter, working on rehabilitating himself than to spend the next 3 years with a bunch of felons in prison. The problem is that they don't have any money and I'm having trouble finding someone who will see them without money. I'm going to check with one of the large churches in my town tomorrow. Well, I've really missed you guys. I got to figure out how to fit my Arlo life into my not being fat life. If I only had a lap top. I could bungie cord it to my bicycle and line it up with my bifocals. I'm not sure if I could peddle and type at the same time though. I'm gonna work on it.

Oh! by the way, I got my Arlo tickets for April at the Crest Theater in Sacramento!

My cousin had the bariatric surgery and he turned out okay. I think he lost 100 lbs. I probably need it lol but I don't want all that hassle. I'm happy the way I am lol. Continued vibes...

Wow! What great news! Must be some kind of maternal hormone that kicks in, my niece was the same way. Whatever it is just enjoy it.
